I've been playing the WAC mod for a while and i really like the fact that there is more animals walking around give you more of an imersion factor :D

I haven't noticed many problems but there are two that i have.

1. I know loads of people have already mentioned this but the beavers seemed to have been eating kryptonite. i saw one beaver just slaughter 2x Goblin soldiers and 1x Goblin shaman. I was very surprised

2. I have also noticed that there are two countesses Of Leyawiin. One is wearing her finery, as in green dress/robes. The other who is walking up and down the hall wearing the Brass curisas and the other various bandit clothing you spawned outside the sewers. :?

That's all the all the problems I've found so far

Cheers, Chiggy

Good to know that both have been addressed already, eh?

Nothing to report from Lee. Been heading to Anvil, currently in a cave on the road to Skingrad. Rats, imps... and a bandit is all. Am I right in remembering that most of WAC is concentrated outdoors at the moment?

Anyhow... I've got patches for Frans to fix (the UOP 3.2.0 and the USIP) before I can play more :( .

I like them and I suggest Nord and Redguard pirates, dunmer aren't the best seamen ^_^
I dig it. I'm not sure what you're wanting to do, Waalx, but if you're planning on fleshing out the border regions? Maybe a Nord longboat or two moored up on some riverside docks? I know there's plenty of 'em out there! And if not, I'm sure a certain someone could conveniently place some docks. Somewheres...

I didn't forget the Hammerfell nation, either. Maybe Dhows for the redguards? :-o

Anyway, something to let marinate. :D

Ok I've got a new hard drive and I've been playing WAC Oblivion ever since.

For starters I've only found 1 bug which is phenomenal... and it may have already been addressed. When you're just exiting the Imperial Waterfront and look a little to your left there is a fort/castle that's loaded in the distance that must not have been cleared from the LOD texture files. When you get to the point where it should load the close up in-depth version it disappears.

There are a couple minor nitpicks which may have already been addressed as well.

1.) I'm assuming it's an otter (I couldn't get close enough to tell), but I see these lightning fast black things hopping around near the water. In fact the speed is so fast as to make the animation look completely unnatural.

2.) The crocodiles. I don't know if you can disable the jumping attack animation and force them to use a bite attack at all times. Hell I don't even know if the rats have a bite animation that the crocs can use. Anyway it breaks the immersion with an encounter with any crocodilian. If you have Shivering Isles the Baliwog is a prime skeleton for the Crocs/Alligators as it has the lizard-like stance and movements.

All in all this is the best mod that I've ever played for Morrowing or Oblivion. Keep up the excellent work Waalx and I'll be looking forward to whatever new beasts/weapons/armor/quests/whatever you decide to put into the game. I'll post another update in a couple days after some more play time. Whether to tell you I've found any bugs or that I've found none and am having a blast.

What can I say? The swords look awesome again!

Just a thought here: how about adding some of the WAC crows near the "fresh" bodies on the gibets? They are scavengers after all.

okay first bug reports myside

- the terror birds hitboxes are jacked up, shoot a foot above his back and its still a hit. hits in the neck/legs dont register in parts.

- godlike beavers (been stated many times i know, but seriously these are satans beavers)

- bandits go crazy for the armless ( been covered i know)

- flash the zebra, has a bug when you try to dismount it will keep you on the zebra for 5-15 seconds sometimes (bought 60% chance from what ive seen)

- sweet water camp needs a few foot soldiers/patrons around. i witnessed a black scamp (iirc) come in and own the butcher before the archers could get to him along with that dude who is always asleep. i figure a few more dudes/ladies in there all tricked out would easily take care of any of this.

NOW FOR THE REAL BUGS (GAMEBREAKERS)

- during the runare slaughterfish quest outside of IC, after killing one of the fish i recieved a spell along with some other spells that dont show up.

the spell is 'addscript effect' - npc jump. there where about 5 other scripts added as well but i could not find them and my pen broke while it was happening. unfortunatly i have not been able to recreate it but its never happened before. might be WAC, might not. if i can recreate it i will let you know.

- king rat north east of leyawin gave me massive, like -60fps, slowdown. i think i was rocking about 45-50 fps then the king rat came and fps went to 5. only happened when i looked at it. i could turn around and get my 50 fps back then look at it and bam, 5fps.

this is all i have so far. im glad that your finally putting in nord weapons :-)

let me know if you need anything else waalx.

Can we expect my requested dunmer blade? :D BTW, I'm going through quite a long writer's block and I am only very slowly finishing BotA...

Here's something missing:

We should have Ogrims. They were cool in Morrowind, but no one has brought them over to Oblivion.

Ah yes Ogrims,
maybe we need even more like Winged Twilights.
Daedra are not like normal animals.
Guar might only be found in Morrowind,
but the Daedra.. They could be anywhere. >>;

I once remembered playing Morrowind I was in this Ancestral Tomb.
The Ogrim that wanted to attack me was stuck, so I was joking around,
poking it with the tip of brilliant weapon called a "Spear".
Then suddenly, out of nowhere, it appeared right in front of me,
trust me, you don't want it to suddenly appear in front of you. OO;

Ah yes, Ogrims.

The secret to an Ogrim's power?

The Nipple Ring of Lordly Might.

Waalx, will you be including the Nipple Ring of Lordly Might into your project, IF you decide to model an Ogrim?

If you do, let me make a suggestion: Give it a matching pair? The poor guy looks lopsided. :(

CLIFF RACERS!!!!!!!
Ahhhhhh, I couldn't stand those in Morrowind. But it'd be interesting to see some near the Morrowind border.
Nix hounds could be cool.
But the biggest thing I want to see in oblivion, is beastmen! it needs an improved minotaur (vanilla are too big, and easily fought). I'm thinking something like...

and Rhinos!

And a Griffon!

(All images are part of Games Workshop)

That rhino would make a cool mount, and the griffon would just be an interesting sight.[/url]

that rhinox is awesome. i loved the rhinos when i saw some near Anvil in WAC.
if i were to choose a creature though, i would just love to see some HUGE, lumbering (peaceful) creature that just roams all over. like the mumakil in lotr.
i'll hafta look up the nix hounds. anyone who knows me knows what a sucker i am for any kinda dog or dog-like creature :P

edit: well nevermind then, not as dog-like as i hoped :P still cool though
Deep down, we're all bad people. Some of us are just better at it.

Personally, I don't think that there should be much more creature types running around. The wildlife creature variety is already staggering (the undead are the only type of creatures that need more WAC style treatment).

Maybe some of these could be used as special bosses or something, but I believe it's a better idea to finish what's already there and create a bug free BETA.

I don't know what's going on here... it's a suggestion fest?

As StarX just said, I'm working on finishing what's there already. Not to gather suggestions. (many of which are from other games!) and a griffin? come on! Do you really think that I didn't think of that? it's like suggesting me to do a dragon. that's the first ideas you get when thinking of a monster.

As Oblivion doesn't support flying stuff and I'm no scripter. How do you expect me to implement a griffin or a dragon?

I already have a lot to finish like this, don't add to it please. I'm already adding too much myself. If it's about what's in there already, ok. If it's something else that isn't even done, don't loose your time asking.

I could fill a whole thread with references that I gathered since a year on RealSwords and WAC. Many of which will never be done because I have too much already.

I'm working on RealSwords in WAC now.

This thread is also for suggestions, you said so yourself. Nothing wrong with adding suggestions for later when WAC is beyond beta.
