Congratulations on the new WAC alpha release! :)

Just started downloading the WAC files and will have a go at WAC 0.05 early next week. From what I've read and seen so far there's an amazing amount of work put in between versions 0.04 and 0.05. :shock: Good job man!

The new version is great. :D

But of course, bugs need to be hunted. And I found one, which might be due to my loading thing. I think it would come in handy, with a lot of esps like that, some description because I might have some conflicting/duplicating ones checked.
Anyway, the old Nord, Einan the Elder is duplicated somehow.

Might be more clones running around, not sure about that. What I am sure about is that Ongar stole 25 steaks from me. He will get himself killed like that, if he keeps stealing from fellow Nords.

Vigdis, my Nord battle maiden, now knows why her parents told her not to come close to 'faery rings'. The Fair Folk are not to be underestimated. Especially at level 2. xD

Ehm, further haven't explored it too much. Shall do more exploring tomorrow. As my Nord character wishes to go outside.

Can't wait for the final release, though it will even take months to explore everything there already is.. >.<Keep>.>

It's a small jewelry box type burried half in the sand so it looks like a rock almost and it is towards the prow of the rowboat rather than it's side. Or did you find it but were unable to activate it?

the djin summon spell... haven't found it I found the chest below the wharf, but inside I only found some gold and a silver urn :/


and I found a small bug, the worgs (those little bastards almost killed me XD) their drop is warg skin?

and, I think you should make it so that hostile animals rather not go close to roads, I walked on the road and found many dead beast on the side (killed by guards ;I) and I think that the road should be a rather safe path, but I have no problems to meet bandits on 'em though :-D-)

indeed.. I hope it's just a few that have this as I have quite a few Giants textures map to patch if not...
not sure if its a glitch but why are there spots on the mace?

Breton weapons are still using what I was testing at the time of their release..hence the strange reflective effect. I will eventually return to this.

I unequipped the helmet and it didnt unequipped on the npc...(it said it was equipped in the menu).

Ok in Theory you will not be able to loot Dead Knights armors. will check.
scarves dont show up with black bandit hood,leather(plain) or necromancer robes

Scarves are amulets, if the one of your clothes/armors hide amulet, scarves won't show.

He's not. It's an half blind dingo. Many creatures in WAC have lost an eye (well not that many but they are in the probabilities).

Nope those are the Breton Red Beacons, they are luminous arrows. Color is like it should be.

That's a vanilla flag, and it has no animation but is blown by the wind. (vanilla flag is just wider, I made it slim.)

Do you already have a RealSwords installation (Nord or other) that wasn't emptied (deleted) before running WAC?

While WAC wasn't exactly planed, when I decided to do something about it, it was because of this. I was making my first foray into creatures making, doing a couple of beasts for the H.U.T. to hunt, and then I added MMM. I had a few MMM encounter around where I was testing my lions, the 1st version of them, and well.. too many different quality and over-saturation got the worst of me. That day I decided to build my own monster mod, one that would be leveled in visual quality.

The problem with this committee is that they all wear the same pair of pants at once... ;)
As you can see, there's a little tear in the shoulder of this robe, just on the side I'm showing here. One can peer into it, and find no body beneath.

Also, this may or may not be by design, but some Greenies popped up in the yard of the Brina Cross Inn, near Anvil. That's quite near the location of one of the Mages Guild initiate quests, and could be problematic if something more threatening were to spawn there in the future. Perhaps I'm being overcautious, but it felt like something worth mentioning.
I'll have to check if there are any spawns in that place. Greenies can spawn on most terrains, so they could be from anywhere.
I've noticed some conflict with New Roads and Bridges Revised, particularly on City Isle, where the crucifixion grounds are.
That is to be expected (conflicts). the crucifixion ground may or may not stay in final. I'm unsure on that one, or it would need to have more to it if it's going to stay..
I've noticed that encounters have been "unleveled", so to speak. But in my reading of the 60 + pages of this thread, and the read-mes, I didn't find any posts regarding the loot tables- does this mod affect them?
loots and stuff have barely been touched by WAC unless the are from WAC bestiary/peoples/clothes/armors and/or RealSwords. I have lots to complete until I turn my eyes to loot and add some more stuff.

They didn't tell you in vanilla, but there are several levels to that arena... you know? And the one adjacent to the vanilla bloodwork is called... The Pit.

Hmm.. So the realswords mods are already in the WAC mod? That must be the problem, since I have the realswords mods plus all the WAC except silent feet and another one.. The 8th gate, I wonder, does the 8th gate still override all the other Oblivion realms? Last time I checked it, the 8th gate had the possibility to connect to Hircine's realm or to one or two Oblivion realms and not the other Oblivion realms. x.x

By the way, that axe looks great, my character really has that Nordic feel now. :)

TCOS.esp = The Chronicles of Steel = All RealSwords NPC, + the new WAC stuff and also new unrealeased RS stuff.

But yes, all the realswords race mods like realswords: Nord can be deselected?

All RS mods are now TCOS. So yes, disable them and enable Tcos...

Ah, must remember myself not to 'click' or poke such a blue giant wandering around Bruma.. The thing nearly squashed me whole in one blow. But luckily they aren't that quick and I could outrun it..
Items seem to be more fair priced, I found a fine meyer on a Khajiit, not certain if I should, but it was a bandit so.. They always have lots of 'stolen' goods from other races and factions. Like on carried a Legion shield, and the Meyer and legion arrows. Also encountered a witch, which seemed to prefer wildlife above a Nord. And some berserkers. They were killed by a bear, and I too, got killed by that bear. Wildlife might never be that harmless anymore. :P
Ah well, back to Oblivion. Might do a Goblin hunt since I need the gold..

understand that the RealSwords mods are a preview to something else. That something else always was The Chronicles of Steel, of which a deep story have been written, and that need to be included in the mod. (That's some work in itself..).

TCOS is the first version of The Chronicles of Steel. The story isn't in yet, but I'm laying out the base for it already... Waalx character is made, the battlemage leather armor was made at first to fit a group of Red Witches that need to be formed yet. (@ Elhazan The Lurker, The Red Mages are actually an addition to that! ;) )

RealSwords goblin is the most preview of all RS releases as it was made solely for WAC goblins. So in WAC the goblins uses RS goblins weapons.

Just Use WAC!

Haha, you should totally write that in the official release of WAC.

So, the goblin realswords can be deactivated as well, cleans it up a bit in the list then, now I do not need to merge all them realswords mods anymore. :P

I wonder though, are some of the Chronicles of Steel already in the game? I did find a picture of Waalx in the Forge Tower. Think I made them a daughter, or at least, it is fun to let my character kind of see them as parent figures, though they might not eve be that. I was just about to do some dungeon crawling with some bandits, lets see what comes out. Just got to keep away from that giant..

Hi, first time commenter, always really liked the RS mods, and looking forward to try out WAC..

But I'm hitting a hurdle before I even start, with WAC enabled I'm completely unable to change hairstyles, disabled I'm fine..

It's a small thing, but it's kind of bugging me... is there anything I can try as a solution to this?



Also, I have no cosmetic mods running... so really not sure why this happening... any help would be great, thanks.

Eh, a question, what does the 8th gate do with the Oblivion realms?
Last time I checked, which is months ago, it limited the Oblivion realms to two realms and made a possibility to enter Hircine's Oblivion realm. Is it still like that or did it change?

So much has changed in a positive way from the last time I played Oblivion month's ago.
New Drop Lit torches, a duel wield mod which is nearly perfect, a new Wac that is just great, new this, new that. ^-^

actually the part on wrong color lighting I was referring to the staff torch that has an orange flame and blue light how ever I actually kinda like the blue light it just seems a but out of place with the orange flame also the staff torch is a great idea for the undead mages it suits them IMO

as for the giants so far that's the only one Ive ran into with that glitch but if i find anymore ill be sure to take a pic of it

There it is, dead, might be still from the great war between the pacifistic animals and the hostile Fay, or greylings as some call them. They are still Fay. Came out of the Fay Circle, from under it. To attack and lure all the animals under their mountain..

Not yet. Waalx portrait is just a prop. The stories need to be brought in-game, and that's a long job.

The 8th Gate esp should be alright to play along the other Oblivion gates. I added back the other random gates, so now when you enter a random Oblivion gates it will have 1/8 chances of leading you to Hircine Hunt. Otherwise you can end-up in one of the seven random gates, like in vanilla

Venison is the name of that deer specie.

That's not a bug that's an incomplete thing in WAC that I need to finish.. The only solution for now is to play a race that is vanilla (ie. no beard). I will arrange this! :)
