Ah, next time I'll activate the 8th gate as well then. :)

Venison is the name of the creature? Ah, I was already like "Hey this creature is called like a piece of meat." But it must be the meat called after the creature.

I can imagine that, but having the stories and books in game will be a great add as well, a blade without a story, might as well be a blade without a soul. But yes, I could feel the spirit of Waalx already, though it was only a portrait, it was still a sign that the ancient Waalx might have visited the Forge Tower some time..

Thanks for the reply, I'm playing a female character, and definitely one without a beard :)... but still getting the issue..
No worries, disabled, started a char, then re-enabled, so I'm good for now anyway.

Hmm.. The new Marauder armour, Greaves, I guess the full version, but I am not sure of that.
When I drop them, I get the big yellow "!" sign. Don't know if this is reported but it's there. ^^;

Probably the gnd.nif texture is missing. Never try to drop an object but I will try tonight. Do you have that yellow "!" with all WAC objects or only one and if one or a few I guess it will be interesting to know which ones exactly as there are several marauder armors/greaves.

Actually, this is the first one, all other objects I have tried to throw onto the ground have acted like normal objects. Though I do like the difference between some objects, like one Marauder greaves has one leg plate and on the ground object, only one leg plate is seen, and with the one with two, two are seen. Yet the one without leg plates, gets that big "!" sign. Though I can try it again and see if it does it again, if that helps. But it might just end up like the big yellow 'friend' again. x.x

this may be entirely my fault!

I seems to remember I needed to finalize the marauders. Apparently I forgot some icons for the leather greaves, and I may have misplaced a world object reference, as in this case.

A big yellow exclamation box is due to a missing model, usually a missing World model (for armors/clothes).

If the mesh is there but purple, the color map is missing. if the mesh is very dark, the normal map is missing.

here the model is missing. I will check the links and make the correction or make a model if I forgot that one.

Ah okey, hey I found another one. >.>
Seems there is a gap in the belly with the female models. Right where the cuirass should connect to the greaves. I don't think this is due to a body mod.

Not really more, though it might be nice to change some values, like the full plates cuirass of the Marauders, all plate and chainmail might have a better armour value and more weight while those leather gloves and pants without any plates connected to them might be made lighter and maybe even turned to light armour.
But really a lovely thing, that Knight's Bastard or what was the two handed marauder sword called, really is strong. Though I could defeat the marauders with three good hits, a knights bastard burns my Nord into a crisp in two hits.

I have a small question can i add the old WAC horses file to this new WAC with out having any troubles or is a new horse mod in the works?

when i try to get the file WAC 0.05v i get taken to a site called Adrive that tells me the file is no longer public.
help?

Hi!
I have tried to install latest WAC, but I'm having some problems. I cannot rebuild Bashed Patch. Apparently, some eye mesh for VampireRace isn't defined or something isn't defined.
I'm rebuilding it now again, so I'll post the warning here when it's done.

After checking in TES4Edit, I found out that 0x006952 is EyeVampireWAC (Eye Vampire Red).

Has anyone else had problems with rebuilding the bashed patch?

Yes, I hit that error too. I was a bit busy trying to test my other mods, so I forgot that I'd bumped into that. I just opened the esm in TES4Edit and stripped the vampire race eye records and it all worked perfectly thereon out.

One more thing, when I loaded up "Waalx Animals & Creatures.esm" in the CS, there were some warnings about references that should be persistent but aren't (khajiit smith one of them) and when I loaded that cell there were bunch of warnings about some animations and something. And again when I double clicked NPC.

Sorry, I would love to help more but I don't know what those particular warnings mean.

Most of the marauders cuirrass have a front plate that cover the front hips, but for some I removed that plate for more variety.. I guess it doesn't work with the female leather greaves...


Yes eventually I need to work out each armor part and give them logical stats.

The version of WAC v0.05 to v0.05b still contain some remnants of Waalx - Horses.

I'm going to release the horses anew, and clean WAC of any horses references until I bring them back in.

Don't know how it would work honest. Enable the Waalx - Horse stuff so it load after WAC, and lets see.

You have been helped already.. but for the record.

Adrive is the server that hold the files of WAC. the file can be shared for 14 days, afterward it return to private. I make the sharing renewal yesterday but it slipped by me that the link would change as well. Everything should work now (for the next 14 days).

The persistent references in Border Watch are the 2 Shaliom cats..
I fixed it, it will be alright in the next version.

Bashed patch is a sort of meta mod and part of Wrye Bash. It collects informations from other plugins and they are contained in it.
It does lot of things and I don't know bunch of stuff that it does. (maybe Vacuity will explain).

But here's an example... We have some vanilla NPC A.
Some quest mod adds a note on it.
TCOS gives it some sword by adding it to it's inventory.
Some other mod changes it's face

Only mod that is loaded last will have effect and A will have new face, but no sword and no note.

But if we tag quest mod and TCOS with 'Invent' and third mod with NPCfaces, data from all 3 mods will be copied into bashed patch which is loaded last and all changes will be in game.

It's essential when using lot of mods (it's essential even with only one mod IMHO). It can also tweak some things, add random name to guards ect ect...

About the problem:
TCOS was responsible as it was editing races. To solve, open it in TES4Edit, navigate to TCOS > Races right click and select Remove.

the races of TCOS are not to be deleted..they are the things that holds the beards.

The vampire eyes problem may be due to the fact that I created more than one eye map for vampires..I made that and I forgot to test it....

I make too much stuff, I forget to test it

No, in TCOS vanilla races were edited by adding different eyes to them. Beard races are in the .esm, if I'm not wrong.

Had another run of tests and hunts. Seen the Witches. Very interesting, though they do like to run around topless.. I don't mind but, then the iron 'skirt' greaves aren't that sexy. ;P

Anyway, they give some very very expencive items. One I was happy to receive with Namira's quest and such. With 60 magicka, you can't cast that much.
But yes, the items, 8000 and 2000 gold, that's pretty damn good loot for such a weak witch. :P
So maybe set that back a little or set as unlootable? Nice rings though, but what does the Wood Witch ring do?

On another, current dungeon crawl, Toadstool Hollow, I jumped into a hole and found myself surrounded by Black Widow Spawns, then found one or two Teen Black Widows. And I was, at that point, thinking: "Teen Black Widows? Really, they are bigger then spawns.. That's quite odd, do they shrink or something?" And kept thinking that until I found myself stared at by eight big red eyes, and suddenly knew why those other spiders were 'teen'.

Vigdis, crying for her mother, sheathed her Gramr? sword and unsheathed her Mother's Sword. And still Vig nearly died.

Kind of a bother though, I was like, totally wanting an original name for her at first. So I went through the "nordish" names on a baby site. You know "How do I call my baby" Things.. And I found Vigdis: Battle Maiden. And a lovely, not so original, but still in spelling quite unique; Valkare or something. Dear cannot remember the name.. Anyway, it means "Chooser of the fallen." Which you can get in two ways.

Now I did some research in my Oblivion booklet and found that someone else in the game was named Vigdis and was a trainer of sorts. I bet a Nord.. v.v I tried to be original! Really >.<

But yes, it is lovely, also seen the other races skeletons. Like an Orc and an Argonian. It is lovely to see them. Are you going to make some skulls ingame to pick up as well? I want an Orc skull on my desk. 8-)
