They're big... I won't mess with them
I think the Ash Lions are a bit black and the red eyes give it a stereotypical evil look

Ash Lions are less black than what that other pic suggest

while I agree with the stereotype thing...
Great Lions have yellow eyes. They won't attack you. if you see a pair of yellow eyes in the darkness you will come to know they are alright, and relax.
If you see a pair (or two) of red eyes, it will register differently. red will mean danger.

Just out of curiosity: what happens when you get attacked by an Ash Lion and get near the Great lions? Would the Great attack the Ash? Or are the Great Lions neutral to every other creature except the zebra deer?
Again very fine work, if a bit off-sword. I'd prefer to see more swords, but this is your portfolio and it would be best to continue to do what you feel you must. I just fear by the time you do the whole sword project, you won't need the portfolio, because you would have you dream job...
It often happens to talented people.
The eyes are way too big for a lion, but please do the gladiators

highly unlikely that you can get attacked by Ash lions and be near Great Lions. They are rarely found together, or at the same place....
the great Lions would in theory ignore them, but the Ash Lions will attack anything at their proximity, so the great Lions would just kill them real fast I guess..
it happened when a wolf tried to to attack the Great lions.. he lasted 1/16 of a second.
RealSwords was starting to bore me. I had to change my subject a little if I want to be interested again in making only weapons.. because after you pass a certain number (and I have made well over a hundred blades (and more here))..you start to feel the repetition is not fun anymore..and the paycheck is invisible, so I have to do something else and then go back to RealSwords with a fresh eye.

The wolves try to attack the Great Lions? I guess Tamriel's wolves aren't as bright as I thought they were.Waalx wrote:...it happened when a wolf tried to to attack the Great lions.. he lasted 1/16 of a second...

I foresee that wolves will become an endangered species in Cyrodiil very soon though if they keep that behaviour up...

Hey, modding and being creative should be fun. So it's totaly understandable that when something gets boring you do something else. So do whatever you feel like, keeps you fresh and sharp.Waalx wrote:highly unlikely that you can get attacked by Ash lions and be near Great Lions. Totally understandable! Now that I've reread my previous post, it does sound like a complaint. Well, it wasn't intended as one, just an opinion (I'm a sword guy, I couldn't help it). ALL your work is highly appreciated.Waalx wrote:RealSwords was starting to bore me. Jeez I'm starting to sound like a cultist. And I hate such things.
Cheers

Is the concept along the lines of a manhunt, similar to the DB quests.
Track down someone, kill him and bring in something as proof. Maybe prove yourself to the Hunter(s?).
Or even scripting so you can take them in alive by coercing or force, using some companion scripting...
Hmm the possibilitys are endless.
If i wasnt goddamn lazy the ideas for a kickass full on quest related/new faction mod are there ripe for the making.

similar...?
hmmm..yes. maybe.
Not exactly the same though...
There's an underground facility for the Hunters. similar to the DB in a way, although much bigger and lively. I'm working on it as I speak and it's a fine little place I think..
1ST- You have to find your way in.
2ND- and then you have to hunt for certain animals parts or you get contracts on peoples.. or both. depending on the armor you want. Once you reach your Hunting Quota for the armor you chose to Hunt for, you are given the Hunter faction. But that doesn't give you an armor yet. it give you a key that will get you to one..eventually
@TT1
What stuff exactly?
The hunters armors and lions, I have not released them yet. soon though..
for the rest of RealSwords...many places you can get them....I have a download section on this here forum too. Look under Downloads...

you will be able to get each armor.
But it's not as easy as going in a store and buying one....
these are the steps...
-you have to find a way in the Hunter Harbor. (not very hard, but need a search).
-you have to complete the hunt quota for each armors. Each armor has a different hunt quota and a different faction attached to it.
ex: you want to become a Hunter Forester, you have to fill your hunt quota. Then you get the Hunter Forester Faction.
-Once you get your faction title, you receive a key to enter the Faction Test of your chosen faction. Enter the test room and travel to the test area/land to complete the test and find your armor at the very end.
that first armor you get is the plain armor, in separate pieces, and with a monochrome helm. These armors pieces will have a script attached to them and therefore will be somehow magical. You can however change them into your own enchantments with usual Oblivion enchanting means (Sigil stones, altars, etc...). That will destroy the basic scripts of the armor though, but that cannot be prevented.
-Lastly, for each faction there is an Elite Armor, a full suit of armor (like an Arena rainment or the DB suit). Only the helms are separate from the armors. To access theses you have to take another test. And it can only be done by a successful faction member that passed the first test of said faction...
The Elite Armors are scripted and enchanted. And come with a painted helm with T visor. Texturing of the Elite Armors may also vary from the regular armors.
there's already a room that display the armors by the way... in the Hunter Harbor.
