Announcement
BEASTMASTERS WANTED!!!
The beast count always growing, I have to classify my species into what is from Cyrodiil, and what is from all the other surrounding provinces. With that I will know what goes where, and also in 'Beyond the borders'.
If you're interested in helping make the beyond the borders part come true, join me! It's very easy to do, although a bit boring as the landscape there is more flat. Anyway, the ideal would be to have one person that drop spawn points in one of each 6 provinces. I will take one (+ Cyrodiil), so that mean 5 peoples would be the ideal thing! You will be provided with the Master of WAC with all animals and beasts and with that you would build your border province into an esp.
What and how you make this esp will be up to your creativity, you can make camps, small villages of hunters , Npc merchants/hunters, or other npc that hunt too. Decide where you will place really big herds, because since these parts are empty you can add many beasts at once... the beasts having their AI, foes and prey, you can also take advantage of this. or what else? Nothing very complicated, just simple things... and a lot of life.
This isn't a total conversion, it's much MUCH faster to have a result, and it CAN be done.
Come on folks!

Here's the present Plan for creature placement.
The Regions Borders are flowing-in Cyrodiil. That also cover the plan of beyond the borders and what will be where. Except that in beyond the borders though, it's cyrodill wildlife that flow out a bit.
The arrows on the pic are estimate of the maximum at which each regions beast will be found.

I wonder how hard it would be to extend the games borders so that some of those lands are actually enterable? ofcourse with my limited knowledge I could be missing the fact that it's already been done, but it's something I'd be interested in looking into... I'd like it if the game world were a little bigger.

No, the game has certain size, you can't edit that. It's the canvas they choose to work on, you can however pick a new canvas(worldspace) and start with a bigger size.
Again I say gorillas to VW and Rainbow deer to HF.

The armor is from a special faction, why would there be DB armor with an Akatosh logo? Makes no sence.

I updated the animals on the Plan for creature placement, following your suggestions.

Note that the Cyrodiil animals that are in the center of the map it's a list only, just to say that these beast are local to Cyrodiil (they are not all placed in that spot). The gargoyles as Forgotten said will be in ruins and forts. The moose is an animal you will find most likely in dense forest parts and around lakes as well in the Great Forest, for example. It will indeed be found more in the north, but not in the far north. . The real North ongulate (from Skyrim) (yet to be made), something like a reindeer, or an elk.. (or maybe both). The south is going to get the red deer (yet to be made too).
Also created a gazelle, a white ferret and a white tiger. And I made a new shark that is like the Squal Shark but smaller, the Black Squal. You can encounter Black Squal in the small rivers.
A shot with all my Cats Heads so far ... Ash lion is bound to be replaced.

Wow! That jaguar model (and texture) looks ultra realistic!
Sadly, I'm going to be very busy (lots of work, meaning lots of time spent away from home) the next few weeks, otherwise I'd help you with the creature placement myself. Won't have much time for modding until possibly Feb 9th.
Any luck finding people willing to place creature spawn markers for you, and any good progress made on the WAC .esp yet?
Cheers, UQF

I haven't had any proposition, just well-wishers. So the work on the actual esp has stalled except that I add the new creatures in it as I do them. Since I started to work on the map I realized I was needing a certain number of everything to cover each territory almost in an equal way. So that's what I'm completing now. When I stopped placing spawn list I didn't had half of theses creatures made. So the previous work isn't working anymore for many of it, and I really have to see a complete list of animals before I start spawning again. So there's time for applicants to call my secretary...

If you haven't found any applicants by the 9th I might have some time to spare. But until then I only have the occasional single day off from my job. And those are already fully scheduled with other stuff I've got to do.Waalx wrote:yeah the jag is quite my favorite of the cats... Well, at least my little optimisation of MMM is practically done and in the hands of Corepc now (and seemingly working fine.) I managed to cut out about 160 MBs out of it which should leave some extra room for adding in practically all of your creatures without causing much additional stutters. It should also still keep the full MMM download below 400 MBs, even with all of your stuff added.

And hopefully he'll also replace some of the older MMM creature models, such as the tiger, with your much more realistic looking ones.

Cheers, UQF

I guess it was coming, I just never really thought about it until yesterday, when I did the picture with all the cat heads I made so far. Last one I imported to make the pic was the vanilla mountain lion. And well.. I just had to.
So here's a new mountain lion head that will sure cheer a couple of you folks who think the head we had was looking like Barney. Sorry...but it was.
And I only now noticed that the teeth they used for the mountain lions aren't cat teeth but dog teeth. There's a space between the front teeth and the canines. For each cat breed it's supposed to be like that! I'm going crazy because all I previously made (except this new one), have this error.

I'd help with the placments and .esps, but (and Mormacil can vouch for this) my mods always need to be fixed by someone else, so it wouldn't do any good for me to offer help anyway...
