A little different from the reference you supplied. I think the leather grip can help to make it more practical and comfortable (ask your character about it)...(notice the blood impregnation in the wood at the base of the head).
anyway here's the Mor Macil
by posting this I reveal that I will do some maces for Breton...yep

This is a legendary sword and it will be included in Breton. It's unique and only one character will have it.
that character will be heavily edited and will become a worthy foe. The blade is going to have the legendary script on it,
It will have a bonus for the races (here for Bretons) that will be more potent than the regular blades that can be bought.
As this is a legendary blade, you need to be a master in blade skill to be able to wield it.

the new Atlantean. Model and texture have all been reworked. Look better, weight less than previous one in polygons
(nearly half what it was actually). Now the blade isn't a photo but a painted texture I did, and there are no highlights
already showing in the blade as there was in the old one (from the photo). should look a lot better in-game. will test
later ...

yes could very well be a redguard Legendary, yet I am also juggling with the idea of it being the Dunmer.
after a bit of research. it appear that I can name it Subotai, as it was actually the name of a general of Genghis Khan. Not only Conan friend in the movie.
Contrary to the Atlantean and Master swords, this one is much less known and will fit in Oblivion without having a big Lore issue because it's a movie prop. most people will never get where it come from as the weapon has very few screentime, and is mostly never shown fully.

Here's is a picture of Gerry Lopez in his Subotai gears with the sword. it will be approximately the size of the Curved Dagger in Redguard. or just a little bit bigger.
and the final colors..for the blade.

Hmm dunmer isn't bad. i was fearing dunmer would be japanese in design which I didn't like. So I'll be happy if it's dunmer. Redguard could use a bigger blade.

Dunmers have the black Daitos. so they have part japanese...
but the rest, it's going to be middle east a little and look a bit like the redguards in fact..
t_nilc shown me some Dunmer sketches a couple of months ago, and there was a sword design I liked a lot that I will do. some sort of side arm dagger.
that Subotai up there could be simplified (like removing the carvings on the hilt mesh) and become a regular Dunmer short saber. I will see. I like it so maybe it would be cool to have it more in-game.

Yes there's some awesome TES3 concept art Although I like katana's and I don't mind that the mer have them some other swords are cool as well. Also don't forget chitin as a material to work with while working on Dunmer. It's not a metal but that might be refreshing.
