totally want the Shadow Hunter XD and still want to band together with Mormacil in suggesting something similar to the outfit from Assassins Creed, maybe a darker version of it, maybe not either way, I'm all for it... one of my characters I play in D&D (yes, I'm that much of a nerd... but the Elder Scrolls series is D&D based anyway) is an Assassin but her class is actually an assassin of demons (Slayer of Damiel iirc) and that character wears a white leather outfit and cloak

It's a pally thing, you wouldn't understand.

Nice Waalx, nice. I think a small shield (buckler) and shortsword would do the job.

theres a mod for some armors "inspired by" asassins creed. I guess they say inspired since the mod came out when all we had to play was the preview movies and the person put them together based soley on those and not any in game play. They actually look really good, and other than having to fight and kill an assasin(s) for the armors(few variants) its simple fun. I forget the name, but im sure you could easily find it.Haruko wrote:totally want the Shadow Hunter XD and still want to band together with Mormacil in suggesting something similar to the outfit from Assassins Creed, maybe a darker version of it, maybe not either way, I'm all for it... one of my characters I play in D&D (yes, I'm that much of a nerd... but the Elder Scrolls series is D&D based anyway) is an Assassin but her class is actually an assassin of demons (Slayer of Damiel iirc) and that character wears a white leather outfit and cloak
As for a shield? Does a man hunter really need it. You gotta figure this guy is all about one thing, and i dont think defense is it. Though of course that leaves any of us players who use shields left trying to find something to match.
I would go without, or just use one of my offhand weapon mods. Who needs defense, this guy looks like he totally shoots first and asks questions never.

He has plated armor so stealthy isn't his way of doing things. Off hand weapons generally look a it odd so I would go with a buckler.

@Sypron
the dagger in Khajiit was made from one I own in real life.. It's a war weapon, It's very sharp and the blade is black. the pommel unscrew easily so I gather it was also used as a bayonet..
@Sethsryt
I don't know yet what it's going to do...in the game. maybe ..being an armor, what would you do with your life?
seriously though I'm not decided yet.
about shields and such..when you will see the wristblades on both forearms that i'm working on, maybe it won't be needed. making a shield will make this longer to deliver..and to be honest I'm with Jia on this, my opinion is not to play this armor with a shield. they would indeed slash you first and ask who you are after
but maybe later after it's done I can always add more stuff...

Morag Tong, honorable group of venerated asassins legally backed by government. And a rogue man hunter vigilante working for bountys.
you can explain the blades away easy enough. Although that does bring up the question mentioned about it being plate armor.
Will this be light armor, heavy. Sneak bonuses?
Eh, regardless it still looks badass and we(i assume logically of course) all await it eagerly.

It's true that the Morag Tong also do bounties and don't care to much for stealth. But they also rarely/never use outlanders for their jobs and the armor isn't dunmer in any way.

I don't think Lore should be involved with this armor. It's completely out of it. well at least it's not technological, but still the only idea you get when you see those is Star Wars armors, so I don't think I should bother to try and invent any fuzzy link to Tamriel at all, and try to weave something out of it.
I would if I could do voice acting, I would have a twisted scenario. I would if I would have more time, but I don't.
for now it only should be taken as an armor in the world. it's an armor set, and from me it will be only that. Possibly I will do a new merchant somewhere that sell the armors to put them in the world.. if somebody want to make a quest out of them or something like a new guild that would be cool. But it won't be me...
I still have a lot of other projects to complete. Can't start another big one with this hunter armor. already, it's enough for it in my opinion.

Actually.... I like the idea of it being MT armor, but only in the sense that (and just hear me out on this one) what if a member of the Morag Tong went rogue, and left the group... couldn't keep his own armor so he made new stuff, and these armors were the result. It would be a way to start introducing the MT into Oblivion, as you were already working on their armor iirc.

You know, I'm with Waalx on this one. There's only so much you can do to make something like this fit in with "official" lore. But there's no way in hell that Boba Fett's armour can fit into the Tamrielic lore in any logical and sensible way.
(Well, unless Pelinal brought it with him...)
The Morag Tong idea just wouldn't fit IMO, seeing as the MT is a conservative and typically Dunmeri bunch and, as all of us who have played MW know, the typical Dunmer takes a serious liking to all things organic (netch leather, bug shell armours, weapons made out of specially treated bone and bug shell residues and lots and lots of cloth) and really don't normally fancy using much metal in their smithing. Heck, some of them even ride flying bugs into battle. Just have a look at the Dunmer portrayed in the (unreleased but official) Redguard comic book on the official ES site:
http://www.elderscrolls.com/codex/fiction_comic.htm
They, their culture and their dress style remind me more of steppe living Mongols than Star Wars bounty hunters.
So I vote for just leaving it at being Boba Fett's armour. A little something for those who want to run around in cool Star Wars gear. (And oh boy, does it look cool BTW!)
Nice work, Waalx! Can't wait to see the hunter's sword fully textured.
Cheers, UQF

Just add it to either a new bountyhunterfaction or the FG.

I was thinking about this when I worked on them.
The only way is to make Tamriel a part of the SW Expanded universe as a planet, (very primitive and out of the Outer Rim) on witch a Mandalorian crew crashed, and couldn't go back for some reason. so one of them continued to make armors in the genre of his people, and started a clan of Hunters on that new planet. But he can work only with with the basic materials available on this world, where the Force is very powerful and called 'magic' by the primitives locals...
hehe
now this would be too complex to me to do.
so it's just a bunch of armors!

Sci Fi and Tamriel
?
Many of the TES players who rarely pay any attention to the lore forum and the Imperial Library would be mightily surprised if they were told what the Adamantine tower on Balfiera Island in High Rock, which is the oldest known structure in all of Tamriel and said to have existed since the time before the first Mer and Men set foot on the mainland, actually is...
Well, if the obscure tidbits of writing by Michael Kirkbride are anything to go by anyway.
Cheers, UQF

Actually i was more thinking like competition. The morag tong went after a bounty same as our manhunter, he had to kill the Morag Tong guy so he does. He likes some of the armor(the wrist blades mentioned) takes it and slaps it on his own.Haruko wrote:Actually.... You guys took the mention of Morag Tong and ran with it,

I prefer the idea of a new faction entirely, not linked to existing ones. They are not killers, they are Hunters. they will hunt for a price, kill, or not. So not exactly new assassins. They could move in heavy plate. But one thing I want to do though, and I know it
for the skill a little, but I want to make the boots Light armor, and the rest Heavy.
yet the whole armor is based on 2 bethesda armor parts, the Mythril cuirass, and the DB pants. Heavily modified and turned inside out, but it all come from light armor parts.
what is it? a light or an heavy armor?
question question...
I don't wanna start a poll about it, but lets hear you out!

ah..and go and see Beowulf in IMAX if you can..
great ride! some amazing CG there, and although it's still in the realm of the 'Uncanny Valley', at times your really forget that it's computer generated...

I might, I might watch it. I also prefer a new faction. Not sure about having the boots light armor, then again I can easily switch it in the CS myself. It makes sence though. Lot of fighters got the 2 armorskill anyway.

Well you figure any tracker would want something light and comfortable to make his job easier.
As for the rest of the armor, eh.
I say light, only because im tired of all the cool armors being heavy and most of my toons never getting to wear them,
.
PS- Didnt they change the story a lot in the movie? The wife wants to see it, but i have a terrible perception in my mind of hollywood assraping a centurys old story for money that i cant reconcile. Especially every time someone mentions scenes from the movie.
