the creatures references are all in the master.
.esp pull from the master, the master doesn't change nothing, just hold the data of everything.
Some certain things are referenced by the esp, like in the case of WAC -WWW.esp that change armors and robes contained in the oblivion master. The armors and robes in that are only referenced in the esp and don't exist in the master (all that is vanilla stuf though. so if you put a steel cuirass in the world from oblivion master, WAC - WWW.esp will change that to a cuirass with bags and daggers.
other than this all is in the masterfile to be available for new potential esp.

does that sound negative?Echonite wrote:oh, so your replacing the smurfs with the new one?
yes I intent to replace the smurf entirely with the new head and a new body. Can't see why anyone would prefer the old one that look quite low res in comparison.
it doesn't change a thing for the village you do, once I'm done I'll just do a small update and the creatures will change without problem.
did you think of what you're going to do with Gargamel?

Aaaah. Sorry, buddy--My Smurf lore was a little rusty, apparently. Oops! That's what I get for watching G.I. Joe instead, ?
Thanks for the clarification! I'll go back to my hovel and brainstorm.

As for Gargamel... Not sure yet... Could you perhaps make one smurf with no agression? Perhaps for making one trapped by Gargamel in his castle?
I know Gargamel is a wizard, but for some reason I see him as being like a priest in a chapel, one of those smaller ones. And ever now and then, he would head up to the tower to cast a spell causing a thunderstorm to start...
Anyhoo, Ill think of something.

You can do that by yourself in the esp you are making if you need to. just open the smurf reference, change the ID to something like CreatureWACSmurfGood, change the agression to 0 or 5 depending:
if you want him to at least be able to fight back if attacked (5)
or not fight back (0).
it's a tower he have.Perhaps for making one trapped by Gargamel in his castle?
he's a sorcerer actually. a very low rank one at that I can't picture that loser with much power in him.. his goal is to turn smurf into gold at first, after it's vengeance. Apparently he has the recipe as in the smurf comic book one of the first one if not the first. if I recall right. One of the best story. Gargamel isn't a force to reckon with, he's a miserable frog in the realm of magic.I know Gargamel is a wizard, but for some reason I see him as being like a priest in a chapel, one of those smaller ones. And ever now and then, he would head up to the tower to cast a spell causing a thunderstorm to start...

This sounds cool guys, I defiantly like the idea of the Blue Smurfs being passive and the Black Smurfs being aggressive. Retrieving the magical item for the poor defenseless Blue Smurfs sounds like a lot of fun, but it would also be fun to be the bad guy and either slaughter the little innocent Blue Smurfs by request of the vicious Black ones, or perhaps capture them for Gargamel?
...Maybe that's a little morbid of me?

That's what I would like too, that Gargamel quest you to capture or bring him back smurf tails or something.
it's still a bit hard to implement as quest though, and I'll have to wait for somebody that can do it.
simple quest in fact, but when you don't know how to code, you are lost. I can't code a thing.

Is that "Ya-haar, me hearties!"-smurf?Waalx wrote:color variation & leather boots.
I never really watched the smurfs, but I don't remember there was ever a pirate smurf.
Still, it does provide a desirable alternative to the "normal" smurfs.

some firts in-game screens of the smurf model. The use modified animations of idle and walking, more upright than a goblin. Can't get the run animation to work and it's a pity, I had made them hop like the smurf do.
I think it look pretty nice, probably one of my best of WAC in fact as it's 100% custom mesh and textures.
here using a Goblin Mori.
