I had a problem with the Barbarian Belt and Leather gauntlets. The belt has some sort of bracers on it, so when I equip the guantlets it clips.
Also, the scarves clip on beast races. Making the Necromancer hood quite useless for me.

I entered a Brown Goblin infested cave today, and I found it hard to differentiate between all the goblins. I thikn the archers need more of a distinctive look, and the Rat farmers need a hat or something.

Crocodiles need a MAJOR chill pill. They've got rat anims so when they attack its freakishly fast. Scared me half to death. haha.

Argon Giants are an interesting thing to fight, especially when the game recognizes them as normal sized people making it impossible to shoot anything above the waist.

I love fears of all sorts. They fit Black Marsh appropriatly, along with Wild chimps. Seeing an Argon Giant and a chimp go at it is hilarious. haha.

Red Elk need a texture update, as they're a bit dull right now.

Caiman came out nicely, I like fighting them. But are you planning on making new anims for they're swimming?

There was only one major problem I had with the Black Marsh area, and it was little diversity, and population. It took me forever to find things, and when I did it was usually the same thing. You can PM me and I can give you some concept art we have that can help you out with making more creatures.

Hedgehogs need a major size adjustment. They need to be just a bit bigger than mice.

A few things I'd like to see is more birds, and small animals that are docile and unafraid of the player (snakes and such)

Its off to a new area for me!

Sorry, Waalx, my next post will take a bit longer because I did have as much play time today as expected... Tomorrow also doesn't look too good. Most likely I'll post a longer report on Tuesday.
Just wanted to tell you, that I'm still on it and loving it!

Greetz! Darina

PS: Dewshine, I love the mice, too! Though, I agree with you that, the blue one is a bit blue. Maybe something grey-ish blue would be better (like chinchilla). Also the White Mouse has very big, googly red eyes with almost unrecognizable pupils. That makes them look funny/cartoon-ish...

I'd say a blue heeler's coat would be perfect for those lil guys. Those dogs have the bluest fur I've seen on a real animal.

speaking of mice.. i saw a mouse on the Anvil docks called "White Mouse," but it was black (or dark gray perhaps.. certainly not white though)

I did find that the demons with the armor in the Demonic Tower were attacking each other, and the smaller demons. Also, none of my arrows hit the 'boss' demon until I aimed very low. I think it's reading as a normal-sized npc instead of the taller size.

Otherwise, wonderful stuff so far! I'll try to put in some more playing time tonight. Smile
ok..what demons exactly? there are only 2 types of demons. The 'demon' and 'black demon', they are in leveled lists of Oblivion at I don't know level 10 or something. both are a minotaur with a demonic head. (it's actually the Bull Scamp head that I transformed to minotaur proportion). So there are no boss demons. :)

otherwise, I think I have placed a couple of Xivilai lords at the top of the oblivion gates, before the sigil stones, as that's where I envision them. I think I have the 'WAC Distance' script on them, so that may be it. Perhaps if anything go close to them they start combat..(hey! I'm not scripter!).

but please define demon. or what name the creature had?

the arrow problem is weird though, it's a creature, it should scale the collision box.

I will go in the oblivion gate tower and try to see by myself. I'll assume you speak of the only gate you can access with the WAC 8th Gate.esp running (for now only Hircine plane and the random gate 01 can open). .
All right, I think I finally got everything sorted out. The 'demons' were not yours, they were likely part of either OOO, MMM or some other mod. I revamped my modlist, pulled out OOO and MMM and quite a few others, and now I'm running about half as I was previously. The demons are gone, so you can ignore what I said previously.

I'll keep playing--I don't get a lot of time with my schedule (sorry about that), but from what I've seen so far it looks good. My favorites have been the lizards, of which I cannot remember their names right now, that replace rats in some of the mines I've visited. It's nice not to have to run into rats ALL THE TIME.

I'll keep my eyes open for any problems.

I have been bug hunting a bit more.
Ugh it feels like I am complaining, I am not. I mean, if this is a preAlpha.. It's better than most beta's or even releases of other modders.

The brains which we take from the chimps, have a weird collision.

And just now I have been noticing corpses that disappear right in front of me. Oo;
Maybe that's just my game, but still. Odd, and what can I do about it?

And don't worry about me worrying about the compatibilities(that word must have been spelled wrong or is it just me?) with body mods. If this mod gets released, it's worth some nightly hours, or weeks to make it compatible myself. ^^ Yes I am quite insane, but an artist has to be a little mad for the work to be interesting right? Gehehe :D
And it's quite worth it.

Hehe I knew I would freak you out about the feet. xD But really, it's lovely how it's the only body mod that I know which spends some real quality time on the feet. Feet always come last and they just don't get the attention they deserve.
Breasts however, Yes Waalx, it always surprises me how a cup d et large fits into such a tight steel or iron armor. But with enough force, everything fits. :-D-)

Hmm I once noticed something about the steel armor, the female version. The cuirass to be exact. It looks like the breastplate has a sharp edge under the breasts protection area. Maybe something interesting to check, though I now do not have a screenshot of it yet.

I have been to the goblin camp yesterday. The chief has problems getting out of his/her hut. I loved the eyes though.
But I wonder, can Goblins go in sneakmode? Just wondering. Anyway, the Chief really chose a too small hut for itself.
Though finally it managed to come out. =p

I also noticed that I contract diseases more quickly than before. Many creatures carry diseases now right?
Nice nice.

That was all for today I guess. More next time.

Ps:
There are mods like circlets who can be worn with helmets, do not let hair disappear and can be seen with any armor. They might be using the tailslot however. Maybe that can work out for the scarves? Or of course, if all armors are to be set in allow amulets to be seen, it's no problem at all that they do take the amulet slot. ^^;

Hi Guys !

I've been goofing around bruma for the last hour, and here's my report : I <3 the SNOWBEAST lol.... I also discovered new bandits armor parts, such as the White fur boots ( Good in the bruma weather situation, lol ;) ) and the steel bracer . Good work on those ! Also i spotted your work on the Imperial Legion Hunters , it's nice to give them fur stuff and their worn armor, it makes much more sense to run all day after dears in fur pants instead of iron greaves :s . I saw the green lizards for the first time , along with chipmunks and i find that this kind of fauna is what i think that was missing in vanilla . For the lizards, however, they have a WAY too loud sound (when fighting) ! lol ... i was feeling a was fighting a 5 meters croco ... You could reduce the volume of the sound, or make maybe more like it's idle sound... which is really good btw. Also, i've met Xiastim me too , but at the most unsuspected place ever : Bruma Castle Yard ! :D . I've been arrested by a guard for a 5 gold bounty, and when i chose Pay Gold option , i've teleported in the yard, and there he was, in front of me ! (kinda... ;) ) That's it for today, i didn't had a lot of time tonight cause i'm starting College tomorrow so... Hope it helps !

P.S : Xiastim is not a men of words, lol ... Could be a good idea to voice him up , since he's your guardian in hircine's realm ! Would be nice !

More from Lee:

Getting from the IC to Kvatch was an adventure.

First I ran into 2 more gargoyles outside a fort and a pack of dingos. Wow talk about a fight.
The Dingos are very cool. Tough for a 2nd level fighter but cool.
Then I got lost and ended up cutting through the woods to get back to the road.
Lazy almost ended Lee up dead...
(I'm Z-keying the dead razorback in the air for this shot to show the size next to Lee):
Image
I assume the razorback there is from WAC. Man was Lee glad there was only one of those!
So now he sticks to the road, thank you very much...
Only that's not overly safe either. Here's a shot from a bridge... Where did this fellow come from?
Image
Must have been in one of the ruins Lee ran past and decided that the little Han looked like fun to play with...
Last mistake that scamp ever made. Excellent job on them, by the way. Scared the pants off me.
So Lee is nearing Skingrad, finally. It's been a battle... Imps and femps all along the road, wolves, dingos...
and a few cool smaller creatures too. The roadrunners are really neat. I spotted white chipmunks, too.
But these really caught Lee's eye:
Image
Like wow. They took out a bandit hedge wizard in one blow. Not somthing Lee wants to challenge. No sir.
Sneak by this one...
Then he reached the camp below Kvatch and right in the center or it, totally ignored by the NPCs was this little fella:
Image
Too cute. I love the coloring on the Armless. Just neat.
And the fact is that the nice NPCs don't attack them. It's the Bandits and such that seem to.
So Lee's heading into his first Oblivion Gate... wish me luck.

i like your reports, dewshine :D it's like following a little story
but what are those red guys? never seen them before
edit: nevermind, that's you :P i didn't notice your character was looking at giants in the background, i thought you were looking at an npc. what's that armor you have on?

That's a craftybits custom- rat pelt armor curiass. Although I think he's going to upgrade to the boar hide one. :D
I do have more...(sorry no screens)

Went into the Kvatch gate: The stunted bull scamps in all colors don't chuck fireballs like their normal stunted scamp variants.
This the way they are meant to be?
Something caused the Dremora and the scamps to fight. Might want to double check the faction settings.
It might have been a fluke but just in case it's not there's a heads up for you.

Once I got the gate closed I went into Kvatch proper to get Martin. Everything looked to be vanilla there. Clanfear runts and standard stunted scamps. Makes me miss Frans Creatures there where I'd find myself facing Seducers and other added minor daedra

Interesting enough, I got Martin back to the Priory and fought off the MD -- two had WAC robes. the other 4 had Mage Equipment robes (I could tell by the enchantment on them). I've got WAC loading last, so not all the MD agents are altered by your WWW plug. Maybe Frans added more?

Fast travelled Martin to Cloud Ruler to get rid of him... I'm back in the IC isle now, where I started. I'm going to head over to the cave nearby and check out the Imps next...

Edit:
Sideways Cave, Imp heaven,
Image
now with Fimps too!
Image
And 2 more dead:
Image
Also ran into elder imps:
Image

No problems with any of these. Very good job on this class of creature.
Only thing I might want: color varations but then Frans spoiled me... :P
Off to finish up the hidden lower level there :-D-)

And an Aside: have you seen this: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index ... 72834&st=0
Image
It's an unfinished vanilla mesh for a female version...
Hel Borne located it and CorePC would love to have it fully rigged. Would you like to add it to WAC?
It would fit nicely I think.

Just started playing the mod and I am very happy, too bad my computer is a bit out of date.... Anyways love the bandit
outfits, they are really... In lack of a better word "bandity"

Found a small glitch though, when I tried to go into one of them banditringleader tents i didnt work, havent had time to
read through all in this thread so I dont know if anyone have experienced the same...

Krimsyn Kane wrote:First off, the book imagery is really nice, good job.

Secondly, you really hit on my favorite part, and I think most impressive part of WAC, the fact that it is, by all accounts, a true Oblivion overhaul mod, but one created by a single individual.
Waalx wrote:
Other overhaul that came before were done from multiple sources. In WAC it's all the same source. That in itself make it different in my opinion, as the quality of the things I do kind of always level with each other

Everything fits, everything matches, everything falls into a unified vision. It's just great, and I'm having a blast with it so far. I know there's plenty more to do, but thanks for all your hard work Waalx.
thanks
nothing bad to report this time...No stutters, no crashing (think the problem might have been the UOP but I got in on the beta test for that too and my game is smooth as silk now).
:-P

this is Lee:
He's my WAC tester. (custom race, Han, if anyone wants to know)
Lee Potter?!

Inside the Fort Lee encountered these cute little passive creatures. Just too cute. My only complaint- they seemed almost too blue and perhaps a gray-smoke color would look more natural. But other than that these are great. Perfect little mice. I really love the tail, too. They remind me of the brown-tan grass mice I have around where I live on the northern prairie.

in answer to the mouse question of Dewshine and Darina.. There's already 4 other types of mouses that have realistic color sheme. The blue one is the fantasy element. making it greyish or bluish will make it to much similar to the gray one. Each mouses is different in aspect also, not just the color. The eyes have no pupil.

Image

But those noses! wow, I love it. Reminds me of the goblins from Legend (yeah that old Tom Cruise / Tim Curry flick).
exactly! Legendary movie for me.
No wonder there are no mudcrabs!
there are mudcrabs, but, also beavers, armless, otters, crabs, mouses. so the lists spawn what it want on the riverbank, mudcrabs or one of the new additions. Many armless and crabs list are handplaced in WAC.esp. the rest is added in vanilla list by WAC - Overspawn.esp

Edit: (referring to the post below mine)
It sounds like you have a similar hit box problem with your giants that MMM used to have. I think they solved it by rigging the giants to the Xivilai skeleton, but you might want to check with CorePC on that to make sure.[/quote]

the giants are already made from xivilai. perhaps they are too big?
So far WAC is the only "overhaul" that might pull me away from my beloved FCOM (if not compatible somehow). That dark look and feel is exactly what I needed. You already had me with the gibbets, crucifications along the roads... A little aspect that totally changes atmosphere!
hey nice that dev_akm don't come to this forum. Core Pc doesn't either. this didn't help in the first page..

I'm going to start to remove points if I have to repeat the same thing 20 time! :P bandits armors are not finished, and scarves have been covered as well. I think I answered that 4 times already.

interesting fact: all the diseases that are from WAC, will really make you sick. I mean it.

the first disease you get hit a certain part of your abilities depending on which one, but also lower your resistance to disease of 50%. So if you catch another disease on top, it then lower your resistance to 100%. a third? 150%, and so on.... You'll get to know your plants for medicine... :P

scarves are meant for bandits. normally you shouldn't wear them. I'm thinking of adding a scrip to the item maybe. wear that and your infamy goes up, and if you pass in front of a legion he may arrest you.

One thing I did today is adding a scrip to the Bandit Chief helms. if you wear one of those two helm, you can be friends with bandits, in fact it make you a banditm (for Imperial Watch too I guess). :)

yep Razorback is mine. normally should always spawn alone I think.
Where did this fellow come from?
Red and Black scamps can appear in list on cyrodiil. so it was probably near a ruin that spawn scamps. the one beside SweetWater Camp usually spawn wizards or/and scamps.
Went into the Kvatch gate: The stunted bull scamps in all colors don't chuck fireballs like their normal stunted scamp variants.

if it's a bull scamp, it's not magical. Bull scamps are melee scamps. Named Bull, because they charge at you!

I do have color variations for many creatures already. I won't do it for all of them because then it would not be the same, it would look like all the same things but with different colors (seen that elsewhere).

Whoa! Sorry for the late post, but I just downloaded WAC last night, installed it about an hour ago, and have been playing it ever since. My excuse? City of Heroes--a little late to the show, I guess, but I'll be damned if that 14 day trial wasn't a good selling point!

Anyway--I'm enjoying the mod, even though I haven't gotten to experience *TOO* much of the content yet. The only problems I've encountered have already been covered, so I won't contribute to the redundancy. :)

Kudos, Alex, for the work--I'm off again to see what I can beatdown. :-D-)

Ah I have another bug found,
I found it before but forgot to write it down everytime.
Now I accidentally murdered her.

Samurai Fumiko on Horseback with big Katana in one hand.
Sees someone, with a bandit helm on it's head.
Goes for a strike,
hits.
Dead already? Oo;

Gets off horse, sees dear countess laying on in the floor. I guess it was Alessia?
Yep.

There will be a screenshot sometime. Yet Imageshack doesn't feel like it now v.v
It's Countess Alessia Caro. I think there are two Alessia's walking around.
One dressed, and one armed.

I have restarted my system. I haven't seen anything disappearing right on front of me now so.
Can't believe it was caused by it, yet it was. Must be because that my pc was running more than 48 hours straight. ^^; disk defragment doesn't help much then.

But the scarves, they really are lovely. Just too nice to not wear.
Maybe you can add a different reaction to it? Like talking to someone with your weapon drawn?
I don't think guards should arrest those who wear scarves, hunters wear them, scouts wear them.
A lot of people do. But it makes you an easy suspect. So guards would be like "Don't try anything now, scum" Or something like that. "What have you been getting into?"
Like running around nude should affect them as well.
They must either go "Hmm.." "Hoah!"(That imperial strike shout really sounds like the informal dutch word for prostitute>>; ) or "Get yourself some clothes!".

Hmm what more, only I have tried out some Waalx arrows. I am kind of a collector so usually I save the Waalx arrows for the wall. But now I bought some, used them and they work lovely. I just need to increase my marksman. With the new deadly reflex, my bow is kind of unstable. I have done real archery. And it's quite realistic. It's hard to keep your hand still when you are a beginning archer.

What more... I got into a fight with an alligator. Or Fumiko did, lovely fight, tho the creature went down rather easily.

I love how chimps and some other animals flee when receiving one or two blows. As if they are trying out the player.

I really should start that huntress character. A bosmer. :)

Good luck Waalx, as always.

Would be nicely matched with the "You're a sneaky-looking sort" message.
In vanilla though, i've grown to absolutely hate those messages. And the sneaky one is just an insult. A master sneak doesn't want to look like a master sneak :P

I guess it's just the way you walk.
A person with high sneak skill will walk more silent and moves more fluid.
Of course, if you are not sneaking, if you are and are well enough in sneaking.
He won't see anything. >>;

But yes, that would be a lovely comment on the scarves. ^^

Alright, got one.

Technically two.

Alright, first one I found? The winged helm. Light armor. When you're at the inventory screen, on your avatar, the tips of the 'feathers' toward the 'mount point' on the helmet are transparent--I can see the background through them, although, to be fair, you DO have to look kinda close to catch it.

The second is a bit more obvious: West-Bay Camp, after smoking the head goblin I left his tent, only to have one hell of a time getting out of those tent-poles. Maybe if you made the covered entrance a bit longer and wider? If it's do-able, that is.

Not sure if those two technically "count" as to what you're looking for: Just thought I'd bring it to your attention, O' Creator.

hola!

no time to answer the new posts! Actually I'm going to answer once a day, otherwise I loose 2 hours in my day just for typing replies! hehe

I'm just posting something I just did, that I hadn't made for WAC yet. You saw some in MMM, but not like these as they have eyes (8 or 6). should look cool. 4 different models. I may do another one later too, something like a wolf spider.

yet for now those five should be a good start.

Black Widow, Field Spider, Dismodicus, Black Jumping Spider, and Garden Spider.

Image

I made good progress on bug fixing today, still a lot to do, but many small things are done now.

Oh sweet! new spiders. I love spiders. those look awesome.

About the mice. Now that I see the others I guess the blue is cool. It was just strange for the first encounter with that class of creature, was all. But I do love them, so please don't take the suggestion for a different shade the wrong way.

All the Fimps I've seen are green, not that it matters. I think the creature is very well done and I really like them too. It's a nice change from imps only.

Haha... Lee Potter, right. Dang, I need to buy him some new glasses. :P

What I meant about the mudcrabs, or lack thereof, was that it seemed around the IC isle that the Camain are mean enough to drive them away. not that I'm complaining...

And thanks about explaining the Bull Scamps. Non-magical... melee, got you. That's how they should be then. They work fine. and the black ones are tougher than snot to kill.
