Avast is known for being very light in memory use, although there are some people who think otherwise with the new version 8. And Adblocker only works when your browser is active, so those are not the cause.

Good, cross your fingers...but do so before playing. :)

Everything looks wonderful, Vurt's latest lush summer mod is wonderful - one problem though - the Gildergreen is GONE *giggles*

What the...?

As far as i know that should not happen? ( But it does for you. ) Even if you deleted some textures and meshes from a replacer mod, then the game should use the vanilla Skyrim meshes and textures from that moment...which are in their respective Skyrim - Meshes.bsa and Skyrim - Textures.bsa. I assume you tried using "Verify integrity of game cache" in Steam?

Don't you love the merry go round of troubleshooting. I think it's meant to be that way to test your resilience.

With Oblivion I think I spent more time getting the game to run properly with my huge mod list than actually playing and when I did get it all sorted I used to tell myself not to muck around with it again, but yeah..that never happened... lol Skyrim isn't so bad in that respect....mostly.

Oh and thanks for the link to the house mod Fessels. Downloaded.

I meant this more as irony and a bit of sarcasm... lol.

Yeah, I agree. I never had corrupt saves and many of the other issues with OB and when the faeces hits the oscillating device in Skyrim it usually means a restart because the character is ruined. I think this is half the reason i feel ambivalent towards the game, always expecting crap to happen that I can't fix as easily as in OB.

If you are having CTDs with ShowRaceMenu there is now a fix. Apaachii has put a link up on TES Adventures in her thread on her hair mods, though I found it elsewhere. It is a Japanese site and you need SKSE/plugins for it to work. It is wonderful :D

Gildergreen is now a part-time tree o_O She is there one time in three visits to Whiterun :P

Hmm i never hat any problems with her SkyHair mod, not even with the current version 1.5? BUT i usually do not use ShowRaceMenu during a game play, other then at the beginning of the game. I think that since i started playing the game in 2011 i may have used ShowRaceMenu 3 or 4 times while already having started playing and that was it. But still thank you for the warning about that Ailsa. :)

I never have any problem with "showracemenu" and I use most of Apachii's hair and some from another mod and often change hair or eyes or something mid game. The trick is to use the menu inside a small space where nothing else is happening...eg the testing room or an empty house. I did have a CTD once when using it outdoors and I should have known better since Skyrim is so much more intensive than Oblivion and there I used it a lot outdoors.

Of course that may not be the solution for all and it seems not...hence the fix I guess.

Well this is the character i hat started when i also was trying out Tropical Skyrim, but there where reason for me to stop using that mod for the moment. So i decided to continue with this character instead of my Khajiit. But this time it is on of the other Beast races.

Meet Firka.
Image

And a close up of him at the Whiterun Stables.
Image

Here...thats for ripping my new threads!!
Image

Who's a good boy...give me a hug...Oops sorry about that dagger...NOT!
Image

No bandit, you should not ask yourself whether that potion will still help you...but whether this is going to hurt a lot!
Image

Well...did it!? ( LoL i just saw that it looks like Firka smiles like a sadist when killing that Bandit. )
Image

Gaaaahhh... shit :-( ( There where 6 of those hairy bastards. )
Image

After getting Firka killed about four times, i used the Divine power known only as... "The Console" and saw inside that the Trolls hat been busy before i came...Shjees?
Image

And now for something completely different, it has never been done before...showing 2 scenic screenshots of two boring places. Nah i just thought it looked damn good, despite the fact that the places are well known. :)

That sinister smile.. awesome. The look on the bandit's face is priceless. :) Too bad for the wolf ripping your new threads. That made me smile.

And all Hail the Divine Power. Console, we are well acquainted. :cheese:

Great shots!

That is a really sinister smile O_O :D I love the scenics too :D

That fix has really been a life saver for me. I don't have a huge number of hairs, my weakness is EYES!!!! I couldn't start a new game or use ShowRaceMenu in a small quiet place before the fix :D Often I only want one or two eyes from each release but I don't know how to separate them to add only the wanted ones >.<

Good to hear it is so much help to you. But doesn't Apachii SkyHair have Odd coloured eyes for certain races? ( I have other mods installed that add eyes to the races so i am not certain? )
