SPEARS OF CYRODIIL enables spears with staff animation working on the bluntweaponskill. The current problem is the speed of attacks (as fast as casting with a staff) But SkyCaptain said he will try to fix that in the next release. I suggest you PM him.

does that need OBSE?
I hate the need of it...prefer when it's running natively.
so.. so far Breton is 25 blades, 9 maces, 2 bows, 4 types of arrow, 1 location, and 2 NPC.

Yeah it requires OBSE. I uses a bug that has something to do with shortranged enchantments on a staff. But i think having great animations justifice the use of OBSE. Nothing wrong with OBSe, it just adds some extra scriptingcommands

[quote="Waalx"]when working on Bosmer I had this idea to concentrate certain type of weapon to a designated race.
Dunmer will get axes and bows, /quote]
Why axes for dunmers???
They are excellent in blades, bows and destruction magic. But not in blunt weapons.
Your pictures of elves katanas was the best for me. I will start my new dunmer char when you release that one.

Axes and clubs are greatly used by Ashlanders. Telvanni are mages and use staffs/maces.

The Orcs have no blade skill, yet they have a Realswords module of bladed weapons only. (that got me an 8/10 rating from a user..Balchu wrote:Waalx wrote:when working on Bosmer I had this idea to concentrate certain type of weapon to a designated race.

Dunmer will get a sword module, and their secondary majors will be axes and bows. Dunmer axes will be different from what you think an axe is... more sword-like axes (traditional looking axes will be featured in other races like Nords and some in Bretons for Axes, Bows & Maces).

I could build an alpha release.. only one esp, Realswords Breton LO
and it's still missing some icons..
that's the best way to do it in my opinion as the other 3 esp are just Breton LO, with higher stats, and with NPCs.
better for me if you test only the base one, then I won't have to correct 4.
anyone interested in givin me some opinion..?

Heh. I once, way back when I was making heads for MW, got a poor vote from someone who thought nords should look more like orcs.Waalx wrote:...

About Dunmer axes... Aye, I'd imagine dunmer axes to be especially nasty, serrated and untraditionally shaped, with lots of protruding spikes etc. The dunmer chitin axes in MW didn't look anything at all like traditional cleaving weapons, but they'd certainly inflict some pretty nasty puncture wounds.

if ye're interested to help..
here's the link to download the alpha of Breton. It should function like a regular release. with some little things missing, like the bows and arrows icons that I didn't do yet.

Unfortunately (just my luck), I'm off for work in just a few hours and won't be back home until around 19:00 (GMT+1 time) tomorrow so I won't be able to help much today or tomorrow.

I might download it and have a quick peek after coming home tomorrow evening though but I'm sure you, Mormacil & co will have found and squashed any larger remaining bugs by then anyway.

Cheers, UQF

Tried it out last night. No problems encountered so far. The Breton Smithy is *very* nice and the NPCs are quite unique. My Breton nightblade looks quite cool with the Clint XVI Bronze on her back.

Everything looks great, but the weapons seem very underpowered compared to the other modules.
For example, my Single Edged Curved does 66 damage, while the Tritonia does 30

well, that must be because you use the HI version usually and this is the LO version..
cause the blades does the same damage as usual. except now here the blades can vary of 1 or 2 point of damage, if in bronze or steel.
any comments about the metal reflections?
let's see if some 'real' problem can be found..

sorry, did a mess of minotaur killing with the blades and it took FOREVER. The reflections though, are the best so far out of all the modules.
