I'm writing a virus that shall invade the empty cells around the globe!

Total domination!

You are a valiant machine?

You sleep with underused resources?

We have a job for you!

Join the WBBCT (WAC 'Beyond the Border' CPU TEAM) and get to prove to your puny user how much power sleep in your silicon belly, even when he's not around you!

Fill the emptiness with plenty of data and be rewarded with a numeric trophy, all coded and kept in a network to enslave the human race into oblivion.

That's right! We can get them all!

in the master of WAC there are already a couple of new region placed. I will draw all region that are needed.

A non-complex task that will make your computer compute overnight, filling the empty land. Something as simple as this.

close all applications, and fuzzy process like antivirus. Unplug the web for the night you just turned-off your anti-virus so that's mandatory. And anything to get more juice going and the cleanest hog free system you can get as this is pretty processor intensive

-Open the CS.

-Open the Region Editor.

-Locate the region you have been assigned to do.

-Click Generate.

-Go to sleep. In the morning you should have something. Be careful, nothing is saved.

-Save into a new esp.

-Send me the esp.

thanks

You use nothing, you just push the button.

It's a job for your CPU.

No thinking involved!

Hmm I think my computer can do this.
4 gb ram, which isn't used properly by my windows anyway. =p
Core duo cpu and all such things.

I would be glad to help :)

Does this mean that we get pieces of Morrowind, Valenwood, Blackmarsh and such?

I've the biggest daddy so far! Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40ghz and 4GB Ram.... dunno if I'll be able to do it though. My brother owns most of it and he won't let me do a lot of stuff like that that takes a long time.
That's right, that's the truth! Drive 'er straight sideways lad!

I'm willing to help. I have a Core 2 Quad 9450 @ 2,66 Ghz and 4 gigs of 1066 RAM.
Only problem I have, is that I don't even have the CS installed. It's no biggie to install it, but after that I would need a step by step instruction...

So if you (or somebody else) are willing to give me that, I'll let my calculator do the rest.

the more memory you have, the less chance the process may crash. RAM is always important no matter what. So yeah 2gb of RAM is a minimum for a process like this.. (a minimum in 2008 as well at the cost it is now).

WAC- Beyond the Borders will add stuff to all surrounding provinces. How much stuff remain to be seen, but the first step is to spawn creatures and a bit more landscape stuff around maybe (like ingredient). The main goal however is adding spawn points at first to have life in the barren territory around the map.

once that is done, it will already be something on it's own.

Creativity with it will come once this first step is done. After, adding goblins camps or human camps, or towers or small villages too maybe possible. Goblins patrols (something I plan to add to WAC).. many small stuff like this. A few spots you can travel to, I don't aim to recreate the provinces as they should be in lore, but to at least provide an alternate solution to make those part a bit more interesting to go through.

it will be a lot more esp for WAC, but that should be held in a separate esp for each provinces. This will permit someone to change one region and another to change another region at the same time.

this is meant to be done at night or when the computer is not used. Everybody need at least 8hours of sleep? I think in around 8h or less, a decent good machine will have generated the region content.

Cool!
You have the best rig so far ! The process is quite simple, I explained it a bit in this topic, but once I'm ready I will do a more detailed explanation of what to do. It's going to be very simple.

I do need all your spec people, not just I have 4 gb of RAM. That will tell me what to give to whom, as not all regions are the same size, so the best boxes will get the biggest workload, and possibly also a try to see if even more content could be added with a powerful machine.

this is a process that will maybe need a few try if something go wrong, sometimes it does, but if it's being done by a PC that is left alone while processing it should be working fine.
It's like making a heavy render in a 3D software (very big scene or animation), you shouldn't touch the computer while it compute. This is always better if done at night when there's no chance you would need it. Renderfarms in the industry will work 24/7, and at night add the artist's workstations processors to the lot making even more power accessible to compute heavy content.

Computer:
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 CPU
6600 @ 2.40GHz
2.40GH. 3.12 GB of RAM

That's what System Properties says.
3.12 GB should be 4 but my windows can only handle 3.12 I guess.
If you need more information, please tell me where to get it and I'll get it for you. :s

Sethsryt: It only recognized 3.12GB because the rest is reserved for the OS, this it does not display it (at least so i read) But I know for a fact, all 4GB are there.

Heres what specs I know of >.<Windows>.<)
Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512MB (Factory OC'd) 670MHz core speed and 1950MHz Memore speed
No idea on motherboard, whatever was stock in a DELL XPS 410 back in december of 06
And a 250GB HDD

Thats should be all and more then is necessary?

Man i need a job so i can get the stuff for my computer...

I wouldn't know, I heard from my boss who also sold this computer and such to me.
That it was because of Windows. ^^;
Anyway, I am sure my computer will do just fine with generating cells. ^^
