I made this in a day, and it ended up being pretty popular. Wanted to share it here too!

Always wondered what the guard complaining about an Arrow in their knee looks like? Now you can find out!
This mod changes all of the Guard Helms and Stormcloak Helmets to open face versions, so now you can see their pretty face!

If you like it, please endorse!

Description

I had this idea for a while, to make open face guard helms. There was a model that had the open face, but it wasn't on a human model. So I rigged it to the human skeleton and here we are!

Installation Instructions

It's just one mesh and one esp, so you just drop then in your data folder and you're done!

Issues:

1) Some long beards clip with the mesh, not sure how to fix this.
2) A few guards are copy-pasta'd by Bethesda, can be a bit of an immersion breaker, but this might be fixed in future versions or other mods by me.
3) Some clipping when guards turn their head too much in one direction, but not too noticeable. Not sure how to fix either. Maybe I'll scale the helmet? But I like how it looks right now.

Also, I caught the Waalx Mesh Editing Bug and came up with some variations. Any requests per specific town or new defaults?

Could you remove the scarf/neck cloth and the Spike on the top?

Could look like an Anglo-Saxon Helmet then.

I must admit I saw this file on the Nexus awhile ago but forgot to bookmark and download, but I've now done so and will endorse when the time's up. It's amazing how much difference it makes and full faced helms do look out of place with the actual armour the guards wear IMHO. It might look right if they wore heavy iron or steel, but their armour "looks" more medium than heavy. astar astar

I wonder if you would mind making the Ebony helmet open faced when you have time? After all the Orcish helm is open (as are the heavy and light Dragon helms and other unique ones) and I was using Orcish for my warrior before I upgraded to Ebony. However, she wears an enchanted circlet instead of the helm so I can see her face. It feels claustrophobic as well to be wearing a full faced helm all the time.
Some humans would do anything to see if it was possible to do it. If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it sayingEnd Of The World Switch PLEASE DO NOT TOUCHthe paint wouldn't even have time to dry. Terry Pratchett

Thanks. :) I'm not entirely sure I like the look now I see it, but I'll give it a go.
