Waalx, please dont take anything in this thread as a request

This is simply a thread for ideas and discussion with little or no relation to the RealSwords project

So yes, any drawings, models, concepts, whatever that you have, stick them in here

ah Sypron did I read Mod Tool?Sypron wrote:Changing which slot it uses doesn't really avoid clipping. One foolproof way to avoid clipping is to imput your characters face into modtool, model the mask of that then delete the face. That way you know there will be no clipping with your character. As for a biped slot, try tail, unless you play a beast race.
Head slot means the back of the head is also removedHaruko wrote:I'm intending for it to just use the head, as I hate the clipping you get with headgear in the amulate slot, especially with any of the "Rens Hair" moddels
actually, it's supposed to be made of a dense crystal, and I'm only intending it for use on one character as she's a character in a story I'm writing.Waalx wrote:cool concept. yet something is missing, it should have a little more of the physical aspect a helm that is made of metal have usually. Look at picture of real helmets.
I am only using my imagination as a reference, the story behind this character is she comes from a plane of all demonic creatures (think deadra if you need a reference, though she isn't based on Elder Scrolls) the problem is she is the offspring of a half demon. She has so much human blood she looks human and it's a constant embarrassment for her to not have the menacing appearance that even her two siblings have, so she wears the mask to make up for that.Waalx wrote:Once again you're work is only as good as your references. And even if you do something out of your imagination, using references is always a must, because it show you how it really work, and don't depend only on the rater blurred picture we have in memory about most things.
I understand, but I stand by what I said and still say that your imagination is never enough. drawing an imaginary thing is fine, drawing an imaginary thing but basing it on real life observation is always better. Unless you have done the same kind of subject many times already in the past (and even then), everything new should have a researchHaruko wrote:
