Then perhaps more brown? Not it looks kinda weird compared to the rest of the armor...

I think the right lens looks better it you make it a bit more oval. And yes theat color is much better for the cloth. The belt however looks a bit black, it's such a difference if you get my meaning. Also boots look a bit like plating, bit more bonelike would be cool
note this is all about how I feel about this and has nothing to do with the original art from Beth

Sorry, somtimes its hard to tell if pictures are in perspective or not. Now that I've seen what it looks like without the neck scarf ontop it seems to register a bit more. Nice work, can't wait to see this ingame.

I think it looks awesome, especially the leather bracer! I mean, I would want to wear that all by itself, and I like the poncho, it looks realistic.

Traditionally in arena matches (real life) it was slaves or prisoners thrown in the ring against skilled fighters. What you made there, to me, looks 100% EXACTLY what I would expect the skilled fighters would wear (atleast in some cultures). Its Genious and perfect at the same time. I recognise a couple of models there. Is that the male darkseducer chest piece?

yes all the armor pieces are from the game, but separated and mixed-up together. (except the helm, that is my own mesh)...the texture are not final here, just my bronze texture over the original armors texture and a little more effects thrown in. not what I want, yet close to.
glad you like it Sypron !
I like as well. This is the yellow team, that sport a bronze armor. the blue team will get a steel armor..
female version is next.
(I have at least 2 other kind of gladiator helms in store.. )

*starts to cry tears from happiness*
Man I want that for so long I actually figured I should start op Nifscope and do it myself. I love that helmet.
About female armor, is it going to be early roman? Bak when female combatants were really eyecandy? Really I love to see this ingame. I'm so going to redo the arenamatches then

Make is a bit bigger/wider so it can be used to catch/intercept an opponents sword
But remember Waalx does not reply to requests

Bravado Waalx!!!!!!!!!
I love the idea of making armor for Gladiators. I hated OB's vanilla armor. It looked stupid, and I couldn't wear boots and gloves.(mostly greaves).
Are you adding it to the gladiators in the Arena?
If you dont, I'm going to make a trident, to fight with, that'd look cool on my argonian.
Someone should also add creatures that fight in the arena. Not afterwards, like they already have, but add random lion releases during the fight, to see if you'll survive.
.
It'd make low level characters
themselves.
I like that retex StarX. Good work!

My advice? clean your hard drive of some of the crap that you must have piled in...(we all do this). Mod Tool deserve a place.
But Mod Tool is free, so expect it to stay free and available for a long time. for AVid to do this is to offer anyone a real taste of their software, and it's needed at this present time as Autodesk bought Alias (and Maya), so now Maya and Max are owned by the same guy. Softimage stay the only big 3d software that isn't owned by Autodesk..and lets hope it's stay like this.
Mod tool is a first for any big consumer 3D softwares company to offer this, a full package dedicated to modding. by big here we talk of the big big like Maya, Max, XSI, and up to a point Lightwave. The rest are all small fries..
Softimage was the pioneer of many 3D concept and was the software used to animate Jurassic Park, and more since..
Photoshop for example is built on many ideas that were introduced by the Softimage engineers and programmers (filters and stuff like that are originally from Softimage). Back then that software was running only on cgi box at more than 40K for a machine, we are in the 80's beginning of 90's...Micosoft bought the company at some point..
later on they scrapped softimage and gave birth to Softimage XSI, a more friendly software that can be used on regular windows and unix boxes..
