Yes, I saw that retex a few days ago and it does look good. I just wish some of the female versions of vanilla armours didn't have that obvious, unnatural looking, balloon shape breast plate. Even the Companions Wolf armour has it.

Yeah i know what you mean. And in real life a breast plate like that would get the wearer killed faster i guess then with a normal version of it. But we are playing a fantasy RPG game so there is no limit to what is possible i assume.Maigrets wrote:Yes, I saw that retex a few days ago and it does look good. It's not the boobs themselves that I dislike on the armour, it's the stupid shape of the mesh and how it stands out like a beacon so obviously from everything else. Viewed from the side the Ebony armour makes females look overly top heavy like they would fall on their faces with a puff of wind. That's not fantasy, it's laziness on the part of the designer.
Other modders can make armour with breastplates (or even skimpy or bare breasts) that look good, why can't Bethesda.....that's my gripe about vanilla gear, not that it has boobs at all.

Yeah, people say that all the time, especially about "realism" or "lore friendly" mods as much as they say "don't like it, don't download it" about other types of mods. Magic, dragons, beast races or whatever else, believability is what it's really about even in a fantasy game, especially when it has it's own Lore and history....for me anyway. For example, basic iron armour isn't magical unless it's enchanted, so the fantasy angle doesn't really stand up.But we are playing a fantasy RPG game so there is no limit to what is possible i assume.

Ah yes now i understand. Yeah Bethesda should be ashamed about that and a lot of other things.Maigrets wrote:It's not the boobs themselves that I dislike on the armour, it's the stupid shape of the mesh and how it stands out like a beacon so obviously from everything else. It was indeed a very generic remark i agree. As for believability, lore and own history...you are correct. If a game can make you loose yourself to a certain point so to speak when playing it, as if you are that character then it is a good game in my opinion. ( But that is just me.Maigrets wrote:Yeah, people say that all the time, especially about "realism" or "lore friendly" mods as much as they say "don't like it, don't download it" about other types of mods. I love how realistic fog and mist is in Skyrim and the Markarth shots are really good. The sign in the 3rd screen looks like a Halloween face shining in the rain. That picture makes me feel like staying in by the fire with a good book (no computers in Skyrim...
)and hot chocolate. Very atmospheric imho.

Yeah it can look pretty realistic at times. and thank you Maigrets.Maigrets wrote:I love how realistic fog and mist is in Skyrim and the Markarth shots are really good.

LoL i know what you mean, the fun part was that just before i made that screenshot i hat fast travelled to Falkreath. When i could see the entrance of the town the guards and the Blue stripes from Monster Wars took out their weapons and ran towards me, and i thought...hey i did nothing wrong? So that kind of fits the Halloween thing you mentioned i guess.

I like the new armour for Arila, but i am keeping the Shrouded Cowl.
