yeah I will remake the textures..for both. who am I kiddin..?Tlo1048 wrote:I to think it looks too Dwemer, no offense.
I think it needs a more golden, and bronze color. Without the Vanilla OB dwemer textures.
The steel is cool, but it also could use new textures.
I'm liking it so far though.
I think there should be a couple variations in the armor. Like for the trident bearer, he needs a Shoulder-face guard. And some gladiators had very heavy armor, instead of open. It would depend on the fight though.
There should also be a small buckler that most gladiators would wear, for petty, quick battles.
Here is a link to a gladiator helmet I found, I think the Grey Prince should wear it.

I also think this would be a cool helmet variation.

After you make the mod, I'm gonna dl a pick up all arena stuff mod, so I can feel like a real warrior.![]()
I actually had a good idea, for the lions and stuff set them to randomly spawn throughout the battle, and keep spawning until the announcer says you won the fight. I'm pretty sure I can script that, with what meager script skills I have.
Now I have 4 helmet done. and I have enough references to make at least 6 others. (and yeah what you suggest I knew of). Made my homework and did a research for gladiators in the last days. Read a lot about them, I know what I have to do, or what I could do as well. It's if I will do it that matter here.
there will/should be differents kind of armors:
LIGHT
RETIARIUS (light) wore no helmet or body armor; other than some left arm protection. (Trident and net)
SECUTOR (light) wearing leather armour on the left leg, elbows and wrists, he carried a large shield and a sword. He also wore a heavy helmet and visor. (gladius & scutum shield)
THRACIAN (light) These fighters depended on being more lightly armored and therefore more agile and faster in evading their adversary. Thracians utilized an unusual "Sica" curved style sword and a small round "parma" shield, along with large greaves on both legs which extended above the knees. They had no chest armor; but did have full right arm protection and a crested helmet. (short gladius & small round shield)
HEAVY
MIRMILLO (heavy) With just right arm protection and a non-visored helmet, these gladiators were relatively unprotected; but were still considered "heavy" fighters due to the large and heavy shield they carried. They fought with a gladius style sword. (gladius & scutum shield)
SAMNITE (heavy) One of the first types of Gladiator, they took their name from the Samnites, which were among the earliest enemies of the emerging Roman dominance of northern Italy. They generally utilized heavy armor with a visored helmet, large scutum shield, wrist guards and a greave "ocrea" on the lower left leg. Samnites fought with the Gladius sword giving rise to the general of term of "Gladiator" (gladius & scutum shield)
HOPLOMACHUS (Heavy) This style of fighter was very similar to the Samnite. They were more heavily armored with a fully protected right arm, large shield, more massive helmet and more leg protection. It appears that the Hoplomachus was a later style of the Samnite and they also fought with the gladius. During the Republic "heavy" fighters were termed Samnites and in the Empire Period they became known as Hoplomachus. (gladius and round shield)
about the lions in the arena..I would like it that there could be a third door that always open at the same time and release 1 to 3 beasts in each fight. but they shouldn't respawn in that fight, that is unrealistic.
