Thanks about the Lion warning near Rorikstead, always good to know. If you have not been to the Eldergleam then watch out, in my game there was a pride right above the entrance to the cave. Those bastards where on top of my character before i could do anything.

LoL with the Horse and Deer.

Thanks! Yes, I use a mod called Horses Gone Wild that adds herds in several places around Skyrim. So now I have wild horses, zebras and bad tempered lions, tigers and panthers. They must have gotten a thorn in their paws...

A visit to Pride Rock. It shows on the map, but undiscovered at first. I'd been there before and fought a dozen lions, but didn't realize there was a cave entrance inside the cage. When I went inside it was pitch black, so I thought something was wrong with the game. I mean pitch black like the old Nvidia black screen in Oblivion. I still had my HUD and menus etc. So I cast a light spell and discovered it was normal. My followers didn't come in with me so I had to do this alone with a lot of running around and jumping in the water for respite so THEY couldn't reach me.

THEN.....
Scar. The big Boss lion.
Image

And he had more friends.
Image

The farmer ran off after a raptor attack and left me with his cow. He didn't come back but the cow took off a few minutes later...in the opposite direction to the giant's camp.
Image

This ape stayed standing after I killed it so it was only then I noticed it has silver rings in it's bottom lip. I saw another later with rings in it's ears. Nice detail!
Image

Red, red trees.

So that is Scar...big Manes. ( and most likely a temper to match. :) )

And that is one Ape who followed the Skyrim Trends magazine.

Those lions need anger management classes or the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People."

Finally saw a panther near Morthal but I died pretty quick because I was jumped as soon as I arrived (fast traveled there.) Actually it was closer to Folgunthur for the Lost legends quest. There were bandits, panthers, spiders and whatever else I didn't see in the melee, so I don't really know what killed me. :-o

This is my lion taming chair. Now all I need is a whip...lol. Image

The little I did see of the panthers looked very good though. I didn't go straight back then but decided to tackle some Falmer instead.
Next time though..... Image

Thanks Ailsa. Yes, I'm enjoying the game immensely with the tropical mod. :)

I use a mod that allows followers to relax when I'm busy so they will sit and eat or use a forge and do things other Npc's do, and even the dogs wander...lol.
Hmmm...Grumpy isn't she. Vorstag decided to sit next to Olava the Feeble, the old crone in Whiterun who implies you're "doing your duty" just speaking to her. I think she has something to do with the dark Brotherhood quests, but I always wipe them out..

Sunset beach. Summer holiday spot.

Stupid bandit aggro'ed the mammoths and paid dearly for it.
Image

Mammoths revenge.... This was so funny. The mammoths charged up the stairs after the other bandits, trumpeting and tossing bodies left and right.
Image

Hmmm, now we've burned King Olaf let's see what's on the menu.

Either way, LoL with joining Heimskr. You can almost see him thinking..."What is that crazy woman doing?"

Yeah those moment can be really funny and poetic to watch, especially if a Mammoth kills the bandits outside Halted Stream Camp . :)

I'm sorry you had to give up Tropical Skyrim. Makes me feel a bit bad for posting all these shots when I'm enjoying it so much and others can't.

Soolie has a big update coming which I hope fixes the dense jungles, extra loud bird noises and trees etc in caves. Those are the main ones for me besides the grass around Morthal, but I haven't tried the fix Gekko posted yet as I keep forgetting to make the changes in the ini file. That's one of my favourite areas even in the original game so it's a bit disappointing having to avoid it.

Thnaks Maigrets, but there is no need to feel sorry for posting those screenshots. Lets just hope that the update will indeed cut down on the density of the jungle and such.

I tried out the ini tweak for the grass around Morthal and it works very well considering I could barely move there before. No lag at all now, but it doesn't look as good as it affects grass everywhere else where I don't have a problem. I might try adjusting the numbers or just use "TG" in the console to get by when I'm there.

Thanks MasterAub! I guess tropical Skyrim is an acquired taste. I've played the game so much that a big change was welcome...and this is a big change.
Messing around in Paint and I see I should have made the text bigger.

Yep, crap loot. Two coins and an apple.

Panther. Thankfully these are loners and this one had dragged his kill into the tree.

This shot is a bit dark but I got caught coming out of Honningbrew Meadery. I saw two Whiterun guards just outside being attacked by several "large" cats and thought I'd help out. Big mistake! I had a sliver of health left after this. I kept the shot because the tiger texture was beautiful and it's the only one like it I've seen.
Image

Woah! Woah! Woah! Easy on the magic!

Made it to Solstheim and it's amazing.

Reilking King. They are friendly.

An ominous door. And a frustrating puzzle. What lies behind it? You have to find out for yourself.....
Image

Apocrypha...via a Black Book (unexpectedly) and spooky as hell. The second visit was harrowing as my health kept decreasing all the time due to something I couldn't see in the moment, so I had to run and heal killing enemies at the same time. It can only get worse.
