here's a shot of the arrows for the Bosmer module.

Finally I made 6 different types of arrows, 3 regular and 3 magical
as you can see here, the stats of the lowest arrow type for breton start at a silver equivalent in Vanilla, the second Red Beacon, is like elven (but faster), and the Black Broadhead is like an ebony arrow (yet faster and heavier).

the magic have base damage of Daedric arrows, 20 of elemental damage, 20 of weakness to that element. They cost double the price of a daedric arrow, and they are very fast.

the stats are thus:

a more visual representation of said arrows will come soon.... except from the Black Broadhead, all arrows have been remade from what was in the alpha to get a more unique look for each ones.

Ok here are the other two pubs of Breton. Release is nearly there... ;)

the Red Beacon, has the yellow part and the feathers glowing brightly in the dark. make hunting or attacking with a bow 'mark' your target with a fluorescent beacon that is easy to follow with the eyes in the darkness. They are also very easy to find on the ground as they emit light!

the arrows that are magical glow in the dark to their full length. all three types. they are a little more cheesy than what I usually make, but hey it's magic! still I think the effect is cool, and will not make you shoot one of these expensive arrows by mistake (because yeah as theyr magical, they disappear and cannot be retrieved (well the game engine give 2-3 second to retrieve one if you shoot it at your feet)).

Looking good. That last mace on the end reminds me of the morrowind steel maces. Ahh, the memories....

Very nice! :D Great work Waalx :)

Idea: How about marked creatures take more damage? Gives a real advantage to mark a creature.

well the marked thing is just a way to explain that once you fire an arrow to a beastie or a foe, the arrows will 'mark' your target in the dark as they are really glowing bright. that way the next shot is a lot easier since you just follow the glowing arrows in the dark afterward.

there's no special thing going on except from a simple glowing object.

RealSwords Breton is out at TES Nexus

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13370

I'm trying to mass email everyone here about it, but there's a problem in my emailer.php file. thing is I never touched that file, and before mass-email was working just fine.

Maybe I need to clean-up the members that are fake again or something.

edit: ah well it seems I have received two email finally in my mailbox, so it seems to work for me. don't know what that error is about. did you receive it (them)?

Yah, there seem to be a lot of fake members. On several occasions we had some nasty advertisement and other stuff that didn't belong here.

Anyway: congratz on the Breton release, it was highly anticipated by lots of people.

Nope, no mail received here yet.

But congratulations on the release of the breton module. 8-)

Speaking of spammers... I think most of the advertising spammers on these boards aren't people but rather spam bots automatically registering on these forums. You guys might be able to stop most of those from registering by requiring any new users to confirm their registrations by re-typing a graphically shown confirmation code.

I know the latest versions of phpBB has that feature and it will probably stop any automated spam bot registrations quite effectively.

Anyway, I'm off to play with my new shiny, pointy things for a while. :D

Cheers, UQF

No email for me.
Though I found a dl on TESNexus, and wondered if it was Alpha, or release. I guess this awnsers the question. :D

I wouldn't doubt if some of the spammers were real people, but I have a feeling most are bots. :x

Anyways, great release, cant wait for another! :-D-)

the spammers are mostly bots, but there's the occasional moron that will do it by hand I guess.

hehe

each day the memberlist has at least 3 of these. I try to delete most of what is very obvious as spammer or moronic submission, but for some it's not sure if its real or not.

phpbb 2.0 is the software this forum is running on, and it already has a scrambled code in the registration process. yet it's old and probably most bots makers have cracked it already.

I'm waiting for 3.0 to be a final release before upgrading the forum. that shouldn't be so long as they are already on release candidate 5, and it's been a month now I think.
