You could (if you're any good at scripting) right your own "real user" confirmation code, to add into the sign up process. Like put up a random photo and say what color takes up a large section of this screen? As long as there are a few photos you put up (they don't have to special, just a picture of a fence will do) it should keep most bots at bay.

I'M not good at scripting at all although I can do basic stuff. I modified this forum a little, but I'm not familiar with php very much, I know basic html and flash more...
ok so here we go for the continuity of Gladiator!

yep but Planet is longer to reply, and even longer when you have a big file.
the file is there now and it should be published shortly

Breton is available form Planet since yesterday
here is my last work for Gladiator
it's the Champion Cleaver, a two-handed that is unique and that is wielded by Agronak Gro-Malog (the Grey Prince). If you want it you'll have to beat him the arena. it's a unique sword. Kind of the Legendary Blade of the arena.
I didn't want that one to be fancy looking (well not much of what I do is but..) , this design I think suit the arena and would likely be a gift to free a slave champion in my opinion.

also
I have been juggling with this idea for a while.
what about if that when you enter the arena fights, you cannot go out of it (the Arena) until you have a certain rank. maybe not champion, but something high.
before that you would be just another slave. and locked-in. There would be a merchant, and a healer, but you'd be stuck there till you can win. (well I would make a secret exit, but you'd have to find it
does this idea sound good to someone?

I'm not sure about you beeing a slave/prisoner but the idea that sticking around for a while is good does sounds nice
How about the longer you stay in the arena the higher the pay gets. So when you leave you start over again. Or drop 3 ranks in the faction?

No offense
are you talking of the Champion Cleaver WIP shot?

what textures? it's photos of a real sword alongside a model that have no textures yet.

the metal have a certain unusual way of reflecting light, but it sure is not made in plastic. that smith only does good ol' sturdy steel blades...
no offense taken, because I don't agree

I don't like that idea for the arena (locked in). That sounds like what would happen if a slave was captured to be "prey" in the arena. In rome, the arena worked with experienced fighters killing slaves. In oblivion, the arena is two combatants of equal skill facing off out of their own free will. You go to the arena to be a combatant, not a slave. I'm still a big fan of hte armor rankings though. Will you be leaving the vanilla armors in the game for people who still may want to wear/display them?

it's just because the leather is over-exposed by the flash of the camera..
that's not a sword that was wrapped in plastic. I would bet my right arm on this.

the gladiator armor form vanilla I had never thought to leave them there. maybe..I will see. The fighters will not use the vanilla armors, of this I am sure.
the idea of locking the player in is just an idea.
beside Rome arena and other arenas in the Roman empire at the time, had various shows that featured different kind of battles. There was no free gladiator, they were all slaves, the difference is that some where trained and offered freedom if they became the best. and some others where merely meat for the trained and armored slaves (the favorites).
there was nothing to win usually in the arena as a gladiator except freedom or death.. Other shows would have maybe free mens, like the chariot races and such, and even then these drivers must have been slaves. as the races were very dangerous, and many died in them. (see Spartacus where a guy died for real in the chariot race shot, but they were only shooting a movie). So imagine the real thing..
anyway it's just an idea...probably won't do it...
