FCOM is hard, that's is purpose... Also you got all the needed files to run FCOM, I believe not everything is included in it's own download.

I'm also not to eager in using stuff from existing universes although LotR fits the goblins.

a couple of pic of a new race I hinted at in a previous post, in this case here it's Irmir, a Half Frost-Giant, and he's the guy who sell the goblin stuff of RealSwords Goblin.

Irmir is the only Frost Giant that will talk to you, the rest of them..in WAC, will prefer to 'play' with you :)

The beard is Joel Huenink. It is comformulated to the human face. The mesh I used is an upgraded Monstro from my Gladiator WIP. It's an armor, so it will change skin color if you wear it, and turn you into a Conan type if you're a Nord or something.. but this particular one is textured a bit too colorful for barbarian taste, so you might want to wait for WAC in which other armor parts will be made for the Frost Giants. The boots are a new texture I made, look like traditional strapped fur boots. The look is loosely inspired by R. E. Howard Frost Giants.

hope ye like himst!

Hi guys,

Still some very neat work here Waalx, i think those guys makes you think twice before rushing for a clash with them... Hey btw, is WAC is gonna work like the original oblivion for the monsters ? like starting to see a monster at a certain level or like Oscuro's where you can always see everything everytime. I have a little plugin in my stuff to change the level limits to 75. (Where u could be lvl 75 and still seeing lvl 10 ghosts for variety but not monsters superior to you, same for items) I personnaly prefer my method than oscuro's. What do you think guys ?

lol Waalx, you have gone so far beyond the original scope of your mod, and you don't seem to tire of making new things for us to play with :-D-) once it's done I may not stop playing OB for several weeks at least.
It's a pally thing, you wouldn't understand.

To infinity and beyond!

I've been busy on a new part of WAC the last few days, and it's about Giants. It figure that trying to fit the race I made for Irmir on a creature skeleton was not working good enough..well I had the body working but I stopped there, the head was something too much trouble to recreate. So I went and had a look at what was in MMM for a giant, saw it was based on the xivilai, and I was set-up to work on the Giants.

They are also based on the Xivilai mesh, but you will not see a xivilai in them. I'm waiting to show them however, because I have more to do. 7 races of giants, with 5 types each. There will also be 2 races of dwarf (or gnomes) that will inhabit many mines in the games.

So on to the pictures:

As an appetizer for the Giants, here's Lone Giant

Something I did with the xivilai, the Red Devils.

And I grabbed this shot (from Nifscope!) while working on the devil 1st model (and painted over it a little...) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I like the result.

(WAC is now at around 133 beasties. And it's somehow a problem to update the all animals pic now, fitting that much critters in a small space where you can see them all is a puzzle. SO don't know when I'll take the time for it.).

hope you like!

Great, great work here ! 133 Beasties @!@ It's gonna rock my adventurer's ass! BTW, i wanted to know if someone has a tutorial to reskin existing weapons in Oblivion. Like making a fine steel texture for the Ebony warhammer mesh. I got a little idea for a personal project and i want to make some test to start...

Any texturetutorial is a good for that, no need for a special one for weapons, just open the steel texture to take a look how the texture is done. the wiki has all the tutorials you need :)

You posted some helms for the Arena some time ago.

All those helms, how are they going to work in game? Do you buy them, or do you get them for free, or do you HAVE TO wear them when fighting?

And what about the giants you just posted, are they going to be added to the nature, like all the other 99+ beasts you've made?

Are you going to release all the race-weapons, armors, arena-stuff and creatures in one package?
And do you think it will be compatible with FCOM?

They can be won and will be sold in the Bloodworks

I think he will, not sure about the devils.

No, things will be seperate mods.

Doubt it will be.

Oy! quite a inquisitive first post that! :P

Helms are a part of the Gladiator mod that I have cooking... of course all I'm doing here is for the game.
For the helms it's not decided yet if you are going to have to wear them, but the armors you will have to, they are arena rainments.

The giants. I have a special plan for them. There will be 7 races of Giants. 6 are from the borders regions and 1 is from Cyrodiil. They will always be in the game at every levels, because they are really cool to watch. However since they are mighty, and you don't want to fight giants all over the place (particularly if you're low level), I had to do something about it. So on 7 races, only 1 will be aggressive to your character race. that mean your character will be at risk with giants only in a certain area of the game. Except the Breton and the Altmer. their home country is too far and no giants came for them, so these two races are able to walk among the giants with no troubles. Giants are not going to spawn like crazy though so you can just run for it if your not able to defend yourself.

one packge for Realswords that will happen in the end. for the Gladiator mod, and WAC it's different releases. About FCOM, not sure about it but who knows?

Hey man glad to have you back..

Gladiator is going to be out after WAC.

@ anerkee

wait till you see the Vanir Giants. Irmir up-here is just a half-giant, and his tatoo are unfinished compared to a full fledged Vanir. Irmir is wearing only the initiate tatoo.

I think it sounds great about the gladiator armor raiments, I like them really much, but can you make the helms optional so you don't have to wear them. I hope you'll do that.

so here's something new to add to the batch...

Image

- Black Giants (in black and iron)) are from Hammerfel. They attack orcs and Redguards.

- Vanir Giants (blue with tattoos) are from Skyrim. They attack Nords.

- Sea Titans (pink with blue shell armor) are from the Black Marsh. They attack Argonians.

- Feral Giants (brown spotted and gold) are from Elsweyr. They attack Khajiits.

- Hill Giants (flech and iron armor (something else than on the picture, that is the black giants design)) are from Cyrodiil. Hill giants are the more widespread of the Giant folks, and they are also the most varied. they are a bit like humans are and come with brown, blonde, or black hair. The difference with the Hill giants is that the brown and blonde are non-aggressive to any races unless provoked, while the black haired are evil, and are after Imperials. So there are more Hill giants around but the risk for an imperial is only with black haired ones.

these two races I have yet to do...
* - Ogrim Giants (well you know, right?) are from Morrowind. They attack Dunmers.
* - Brobdingnagian Giants (green and wood) are from Valenwood. They attack the Bosmers

Then we have on that pic a bunch of new red devils. ANd Red devil Lords that use a different animation stance.

And on the far bottom right the army of Djiins, the custom summon of WAC. Once you get hold of the Djiin's Vessel, you will be able to call on it with a spell and summon a Djiin creature. What you summon is based on luck and also your character level.

Following your own level, the djiins you will be able to summon are getting more big and more powerful in magic.
The Djiin Plane send you a djiin through the Djiin's Vessel. You have no choice on what kind of djiin will appear, the Djiin spirits appear on their own accord and also on who is available!

From level 1 to level 30, if you word the spell that the Djiin's Vessel grant you, 1 out of the 5 djiin races can answer you. Air, Fire, Land, Water, Djiins will help and defend you each in their own ways. But if it's a Dark Djiin that appear, he will attack what he see first, and it might be you!

At level 30 the Djiin Plane has no more powerful Djiins to send you, except one. But the Djiin Plane doesn't grant easily. So at level 30 until 33, your summon is a gamble between a Djiin Lord, and a Dark Master Djiin. For 3 levels you are tested, then you are granted summon on a Djiin Lord. (the Djiin lord is the only one I got left to do..) smile.gif

I will also probably split that into a smaller mod " The Djiin's Vessel", and release it separately as a summon/companion mod.

the count is now at 185 entries in WAC. and more...to come wink.gif
