The spiders look awesome! Cool addition to WAC.

This is something I wouldn't recommend doing, a similar feature in OOO caused tons of bugs. And I think you enjoy creating bugs (the spiders!) more than fixing game bugs. Just my 2 cents on the scarves.

It's Countess Alessia Caro. I think there are two Alessia's walking around.
One dressed, and one armed.
I know exactly what caused that for you. Sorry. it's the test dummies for my bandits armors in the master. (for some I was just finding a female npc, or whatever I wanted, (khajiit, etc). Didn't changed their names or packages since I wasn't planning on using them at all in real. That make Alessia Caro appear at least a second time, and another that can spawn with the same name too (in one mage guild I think).

that problem is now fixed.
I have restarted my system. I haven't seen anything disappearing right on front of me now so.
Can't believe it was caused by it, yet it was. Must be because that my pc was running more than 48 hours straight. ^^; disk defragment doesn't help much then.
actually I had that disappearing bug too last night! :( (sometimes I can go for weeks before rebooting my machine.)
And here's my opinion on this finally. the disappearing corpses could be caused by the ammount of creatures arouond a certain area. Unless I'm mistaken, I think it's the game engine that will remove stuff if too much is around already. Not sure though, just saying as the bug happened to me too.

Winged helm transparency will not show nice in your inventory. But in-game the transparency will be alright. It's either working in-game like this here, or in your inventory with another set-up that would make this weird effect appear in-game instead. I prefer to have a crappy inventory thing, than a crappy thing in-game ;)
West-Bay Camp, after smoking the head goblin I left his tent, only to have one hell of a time getting out of those tent-poles. Maybe if you made the covered entrance a bit longer and wider? If it's do-able, that is.
thankfully you was able to enter the tent. Most people here crash on enter in the Goblin chief tents. I'll check the tent entrance, it may just be too low.
dewshine wrote:But I do love them (blue mices), so please don't take the suggestion for a different shade the wrong way.
no problemo! All tastes are in Nature. For the blue mices, they do look like a fantasy item, I understand. But as I have grey, and tan already...
What I meant about the mudcrabs, or lack thereof, was that it seemed around the IC isle that the Camain are mean enough to drive them away. not that I'm complaining...
I figure that beavers would also kill mudcrabs in one hit if attacked, and as in nature I guess otters should be able to eat crabs like that too! Mudcrabs appear two times in the lvl list I think, contrary to the rest. I could add another possibility of mudcrabs to the list. Or maybe different mudcrabs (aggressives ones, not like the tiny ones I made).
Krimsyn Kane wrote:Great job on the spiders, how big are they?
huh....pretty big? Very big? Gargantuan? Gigantic? or all that at once! ;) smallest is the Black Jumping spider and it's the size of a (WAC) rabbit now. Black Widow girth is bigger than a Spider Daedra.

(except from the Black Jumping Spiders, the four other spider types don't jump forward while running (as the spider Daedra do), they just move faster.)

Alright then..I do have enough bugs to squash like this, true! I need an exterminator! :)

thanks to all!

Hey!

Found a new bug! Sometimes my newly acquired loot from waalx inc dissapears in my inventory!! then sometimes when you repair something it will come back... but the weight is still accounted for on my total weight:S

That's not a WAC bug. That's a vanilla bug. You are carrying too much for the game to keep track of in one container and it's placing stuff in 'overflow' although you are still carrying it.

WAC bandit gear (through the WWW plug I think) will apply even to Frans bandits. I had a special one spawn (part of Frans Loot chest overhaul) and he was wearing WAC armors. Made him a bit tougher to kill because he was in heavy armor instead of the standard Frans fur variants. Heh, very cool.

Although I'd be very happy if the Bandit Fur showed up more often. I'm getting loads of the Bandit iron and bronze stuff and very little of the fur. And the fur looks good when I do get it. But the spawn rate might need adjusting there on the fur stuff.

And is there a leather curiass? All I'm finding are greaves, boots, and bracers that are leather and they look so cool that I'm hoping for a curiass.

Haven't done much more than fight bandits and undead. Someone added Zombies that have half their face missing... Yuck. (good job).

Sounds to me like the very old "missing items" bug with the Oblivion engine. It happens on occasion with all containers (and your inventory works just like another container) when you have lots of items stored in the same container. If some of the items stored in the container are repaired beyond 100% condition, the armorer level 100 master skill perk, the problem seems to appear much more often.

Note that the missing items are still there and will reappear again if you drop, move or change stuff in the affected container, in this case your inventory. I'm guessing that your character is becoming fairly high level and is lugging around a lot of stuff? Get rid of some of the junk you're dragging around and that shouldn't happen anymore... ;)

Edit: Beaten by dewshine. :)

Cheers, UQF

bandit armors are driven by new lvl list in bandits inventory, I'm quite surprised, because it's impossible that new npc from another mod can use the new list I made for the armors..

that's a probability that get stuck somehow. it happen with creatures lists too, where some creatures will spawn over and over as if nothing else was in the list. Dunno why it happen. The truth is that there are actually 6 fur cuirass in the list and only 3 that are either iron or bronze. So at 6/3 for fur, fur should appear more often. why it doesn't is a mystery to me.

the 2 leather cuirass I made were not yet place in the bandits lists. They are now. All will be revealed in the next update! ;) (notice the scarf on the 4th figure? yep, it's more large than it was!) (notice the helms with wings on that? those are the bandit helm I was talking about that can give you the bandit faction if equipped.)

Here's an update. I remember a post(not sure about the author)not TOO long ago talking about disappearing shark corpses? I've been swimming around anvil and the Abecean Goblin camp for quite some time, just goofing around. Killed black squals, killer sharks, etc, and they have yet to disappear. I'd test it by swimming away, looping back around and yep--still had the corpses floating.

So, I'm not sure what to make of it--so far, it hasn't been a problem for me though! The only anomaly I encountered was from a distance out, sometimes the corpses would "flicker" rapidly, but when I got closer they became more substantial and...stable? If that makes sense--I'm sure it does to someone besides myself. :D

Ran into both feral and hill giants about 10 minutes ago. Nice job, Alex, but here's a question: Do those guys spawn loot at all? I checked them both and figured there would be gold, gems, etc, but to my disappointment, not a drop. :( Maybe I'm just not at the right level yet? If anyone could shed some light on this, it'd be awesome.

I have to agree: They -do- look a little thin. I don't know, maybe they'll look better in game?

Frans Uses a script to spawn a 'standard' NPC bandit with improved stats and a special key added to inventory for some chests. Because it's a "Bandit" from the vanilla NPC list it would get your inventory Leveled lists, apparently. This is the magic of Frans NPC Leveling at work. I know it was one of Frans added spawns because of the bandit key added to his person for a chest in the room where he spawned that is normally just a standard easy lock. (and he killed the skeletons in the room).

Love the 'new' leather pieces. Thank you. They look fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on them.

As for the fur/metal armor, I'll keep playing and see if it unsticks.

You know, I still have to say that, as far as the bandit armor goes, I think the 'fur' armors should be light. The boots are, and I think, personally, that the cuirass and chest pieces should follow suit.

But then again, that's just me. ;)

if they are vanilla, that can make sense. I thought you was saying they were new bandit entries from Fran. That would have made it impossible, even if pacthed.

Added another spider that use the spider daedra colors (white red eyes) to Oblivion Low-life. that make now 6 spider kind. Encountered a Black Widow in a dungeaon while testing..and I had forgotten to remove the Spiderdaedra attributes, but they look cool. a nit big. Maybe I should do multiple sizes with spiders...

I need a white spider type especially for dungeons. I saw some cool stuff in references search yesterday before I made the spiders. I have an idea for something..

Nice job on those spiders, waalx! I love the many eyes!

I second that the Black Leather Greaves make very thin legs for my (female) char.
I also had the disappearing shark once (only encountered this one yet). it floats to the surface, then vanishes. Had the same problem with the Alive Waters fishies a lot. No one could tell what causes it...

Here's my next report with bugs, observations, suggestions and questions: :)

- Hedgehogs spawned in sewers. Intended? Appropriate?

- a Bandit near Bravil went crazy and killed ALL the crabs along the shoreline. In the same area I observed a Beaver killing two warhammer-wielding Bandits. IMO the Beavers are a bit uber...

- did WAC change the replicas of weapons and armor in the Fighter Guilds to Ceremonials? I like this concept much better than the replicas. They are usable and grant a better glimpse into the future.

- The Necromancer's Hood had the head clipping through... From WAC or TIE? I don't know...

- floating openable wood door at the pool where the Larsius River ends (coming from Bravil)/boarder to Elsweyr. WAC? (formid was 6f02debe if that hepls)

-Elder Imps are easy prey imo. They definitely don't live up to their name. I can one-shot kill them with only a x2 multiplier. Though, I use FCOM Archery which ups the bow damage a bit. They are very killable in melee, too. I suggest to make them harder and/or spawn them at later levels. Or should the Imps be weak and then be followed by their heavier cousins, the Gargoyles?

- Gargoyles have no ingredients! :-(

- Goblins have no ingredients, too. Though, I'm used to FCOM/OOO, where they get Gobin Hearts and Eyes...

- Hound Dog has no ingredient, but looks super cool!

- My sorry level 2 ass was saved from a Female Troll that didn't want to die by White Lioness out of nowhere! Not a second too late I may add! Thanks very much!

- Got attacked by a band of Gargoyles (Basalt, Mafic, Granite). Very cool how the group consisted of different types. Though, somehow the eyes and mouth looks a bit off (like dewshine already mentioned). It looks a bit like painted on. Or do you want it that way and I should see it as alabaster/ivory?

- IMO, too many wolves have mismatched eyes. Every grey wolf I met for a long time had different colored eyes. It almost seems like that is the standard and two eyes of the same color are an exception. IMO, it should be the other way round.

- had problems with disappeared water/water level west of Skingrad between Wayshrine of Mara and Shrine of Meridia. Doesn't have to be caused by WAC, though. (should test that new Wrye feature for such things...)

- Rope Ladder at the Border Watch Tower south of Skingrad (near Wayshrine of Arkay) didn't work.

- Delia and Gellian's House near Skingrad added by WAC? What's it good for? All the items and containers inside have no ownership aka Gangster's Paradise...

That's it for now! Had much fun and hope to post the next report soon!

Greetz! Darina

PS: That AI overload thingy I and others had a few times (enemies just standing around)... It was said that this is caused by too many actors in one cell. The vanilla limit is 20. So has anybody heard of/used Corepc's plugin MassAI? There are several esps to increase this limit to 30, 40 or 50. Haven't tried it myself yet, but you should have a decent PC.

PPS: All misspellings and grammatical mistakes are intended or due to lack of sleep!

Did a test run with my new Huntress character.
I had a character like this first. But then my saves were deleted because my computer needed to be reinstalled.
Lost a lot of cool characters that way. ;.;

Anyway! Meet Morwen.
Image
A Bosmer Huntress, Specialized in Alchemy, Marksman, Sneak, Blade, Illusion, Armorer and Restoration.

First of the things she encountered which were touched by Waalx. The Mythic Dawn.
(She killed the Assassin with a precision shot to the heart after he followed her, must be those Bosmer survival instincts..)
Image

A dead bandit, killed with one shot of the bow. They are a bit weaker than what Francesco throws at me.
I had surprisingly little conflicts with skintones being weird on armor however. So that's a big plus for me personally. =p
Image

Something weird going on with the water, I guess caused by either unique landscapes, Wac or both.
Image

By the way, I noticed that the Armless have "Reflect Damage".
Morwen was hunting a bandit which was hunting Brown Armless. He moved too fast so she couldn't hit the final shot, though he was low on health. The bandit then hit the Brown Armless with full force. The little creature remained alive but the bandit died "mysteriously" after hitting the bandit.
Morwen was too much a wimp to try it out herself, she took some down with her bow and arrow however.

The previous Morwen was the first character I played without god mode on. (Yeah I know, I was a cheater, but trust me, that got boring after a while.)
When she got out of the Prison Sewers (With rather weak enemies) I found at first a strange looking Imp.
So I began shooting laughing at it because it did not shoot anything back but just stayed there.
My arrows seemed to have little effect, so I ran too it. (Yes with a rather weak female woodelf)
I began hitting it with my sword and noticed something was wrong. Because I did not hurt it as much as I thought I would. When I finally checked my health bar (something cheaters pay little attention to) it was too late. xD
This is the old Morwen *sniff*

Love your mod :)
Though, I happen to see some basalt gargoyles hunting red little lizards, is that ok?
And, finally, a suggestion: do NOT put all that equipement right out of the sewers :/
The water problem is UL related, not WAC ;)
