By the way I spotted a slight problem in the shop of the woodelf from realsword Bosmer or WAC (the guy in Bravil).
Whenever you enter his shop arrows and bows are flying all over his store...Am I the only one who experienced this thing?

How come it's only happening in his shop?
and how come it's happening every single time I reinstall it?

It has something to do with having a lot havoked items in a cell. I get it too with other mods that add shops with lot of havoked items on display. It also never happens the first time you enter that cell IIRC.

Vacuity wrote:Got to trying out the new alpha of WAC last night and had some issues with frequent CTDs.

Eventually I tracked them down to WAC - TCOS.esp. I've cleaned the file but the CTDs remain, even when in non-vanilla cells, with no other actors around (i.e. not near anything TCOS touches).
With the file enabled I CTD after a few minutes.
With the file disabled I... don't crash. :-o

My load order is extensive and I know for a fact that TCOS has extensive conflicts with other mods in my load order, so I can't say that there's anything wrong with the file, my game just isn't happy trying to deal with all those conflicts I guess.

Vac
I must be the only one on here who run an almost WAC only install. It's doesn't crash for me (or rarely). WAC is too big for me to check for conflicts as I touch too much stuff, and as I'm still making it, checking for compatibility at this point is not in my mind at all.

TCOS.esp, well it change stuff on every NPC in Vanilla or nearly all. This is bound to conflict with anything else that change npc. TCOS is about RealSwords, robes, armors, clothing, beards.

One thing I can think of here...If you have RealSwords already installed...like from FCOM. NO GOOD. TCOS is the real RealSwords... The Chronicles of Steel ;)

MasterAub wrote:I vote for English...Not that I dislike latin, I like it I've learned it...However
1) latin is not unterstood by everybody, english is
2) latin is not TES
3) I thought the Imperial language was ENGLISH and the Arena is in Cyrodiil which is the Imperial land...
3) if you want to add some RP stuff like language to be research etc... by those who play...I suggest writting it in Daedric or in Elfic (those are available if I am not mistaken)
1) the very little quotes I will put will not matter in the long run. Beside ..read-on about this..all will be explained.
2) What is? Bosmer are canibals tribal bunch, in OB they are happy like 'my little pony'. Imperials are supposed to be based on ancient Roman. At least they were in Morrowind.
3) I've never read anywhere that English was an actual TES language used it the world.
4?) Daedric or elven on the Imperial Arena? not sure I follow.

What I'm going to do for the Latin quotes in the Arena:

The dices are cast, the Imperial Arena quotes will stay in original Latin version. However, there will be a small book in the arena 'About the Kladyos.Codex' that will provide in-game translations for everything Latin, and more. :)

Now you may ask yourself already..What the heck is the Kladyos.Codex ??

Well it come from the celt (or greek?) 'kladyos', that mean glaive or sword, the precursor word of L. gladius (swords) which in turn is the precursor of L. 'gladiator' (swordsman). Also L. Codex stand for Code. So... Gladiator Code.

And for a more visual example (and a teaser (in-game) poster of RealSwords Gladiator), here's the 'Kladyos.Codex'.

Image

As you can see, it's mostly in English. It also sport the Arena citation (invented by me) Virtvs.Honos.Gloria (Valor.Honor.Glory). Valor should be Valorem in actual Latin as Virtus would mean 'virtue', but I thought that Virtus fit better with the other two words (in a graphic design optic, it make the three words around the same length which is preferable).

I made some new posters in the Bloodwork.. that is one of them.
Now..about what is ON that poster..well. That's another story. The six rules of the arena.

THE.GLADIATOR
SOLE.CVIRASS.IS
THE.ARENA.RAIMENT
(as in vanilla)

THE.GLADIATOR
WIELD.ARENA.ARMS
IN.THE.ARENA.TO.GAIN.
VALOR.HONOR.GLORY
(Here we have a change. When the PC is in a match there will be a check to see if arena weapons are used or not. If not, you won't get any FAME from that match if you win.)

THE.GLADIATOR
DOES.NOT.VSE.MAGIC.TO.WIN
RESTORATIVE.MAGIC.IS.ALLOWED
FOR.GREATER.PERFORMANCE
(this one is at the discretion of the player)

THE.GLADIATOR
ARMS.AND.ARMORS
ARE.PROPERTY.OF.THE.ARENA
(no looting during matches)

THE.GLADIATOR
LIFE.DEATH.FAME
ARE.PROPERTY.OF.THE.ARENA
(the gladiator freedom is forfeit when he sign up, and as stated, the Arena is also able to modify the fame of the player depending on some of his/her actions)

THE.GLADIATOR
CHAMPION.IS.FREE
(champion rank are freed from the Arena)

Now I can smell the yelling running my way..What? Prisoners in the Arena until Champion?? Yep. But hey...A prisoner is only a prisoner until he can find a way out...

VIRTVS.HONOS.GLORIA te yer all!

not the Wargs..the Worgs :P

Worgs are tiny and fat and usually spawn in groups of 6 to 8 I think..

But in my test the Fears where my favorite. They can appear in almost all terrains but there are more near the Black March in case you want to see.

Just met Greenies, a Fear and a Hyaenadon down in Blackwood! Unfortunately for me I met them all at the same time and they all decided I was the biggest threat. After I died they started fighting each other (I took the Hyaenadon and a few Greenies out first, but it wasn't enough).

I love the sounds for the Greenies, where did you get them from?
The Fear gave me a big fright when it leapt in my face from out of nowhere. Well, I was distracted with little green men at the time, so I didn't see it coming. Very nice!
I didn't really get much of a look at the Hyaenadon, when I saw that I was panicking more than paying attention. :x

Great stuff!

I have found that I am unable to run WAC. Upon startup Oblivion CTDs very near the beginning of the load screen. And I actually did defrag several times before startup, as well as reg clean, etc. The 1.0 on the omod was just due to me not filling in all fields. This was actually WAC0.5. I installed WAC using OBMM. Upon doing a conflict test with OBMM this is what I found in it’s report:

Apparently KOTN is the major culprit but some of WAC’s own .esp conflict with other WAC .esps. Even when I deleted the KOTN .esp the crash still occurred. I am unsure how to resolve this. I hope this was specific enough. Any advice would be appreciated. This is a very Vanilla set up with WAC being the only alteration other than Streamline. Maybe conflicts aren't the type of bug you were looking for but the ones with KOTN were in red text making them more significant, as OBMM sees it.
