Hello! Just wanna say that this is very, very impressive work. I've seen the pictures from this mod and the creatures look absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to add them into my game =)

One question, is it OK for me to show these creatures in my Oblivion videos? I post my Oblivion playthrough videos on my site for people to watch. I have no intention of releasing any part of the mod for people to download. It is simply videos that people can watch.

I hope that's okay. Thanks =)

Actually only the full version of OOO has been updated in the last year or so. The modular version has not and is in a form no longer supported by the caretakers on bethesda forums.

Reading the readme though you could easily piece together mods that do the same things as all the bells and whistles of OOO. Harvest containers is it's own mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3979
Then check out Merchant and Loot overhaul on Nexus: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28010

In fact many of the combined aspects of OOO are taken from other mods and it is my opinion that many mods have come along since that handle these aspects better. There are better alterations of magic with bg2408 Race Balancing Project and LAME ... I'd urge you to get the full version and just read the readme to see what all it combines.

I hope Waalx returns and more is done. I really only have OOO for FCOM at this point. I'm much more interested in a combination of WAC and TIE as they both seem more similar in terms of offering an unleveled experience.

Thanks for the info Psymon. I thought both the light and full versions were being worked on. Glad am using the full version. Might explain some of the crazy odd complaining at some download sites recently about bugs i never ran into during my gameplay.

I don't want to break the party but...

Some of you remember what is Waalx opinion about his work's exclusivity and everything ? He had said something in the lines of "if you do it for yourself fine.. but i don't want public sharing of this"... Can't find the quote though.

I don't mean to offense but i know he never really liked the idea... Since it's been a long time we had news of him, i wonder if he just gave up BECAUSE we almost all talked about making WAC functionning with other overhauls.

It's just an idea i'm shooting in... i'm sure of nothing.

PS : That patch seems very good, from what people are saying, grats to the author. For my part, i've been one of the oldest member of this place, and i'm waiting for the man himself to show up again to re-install Oblivion (since i had a rather huge crash and i've lost my installation) . I know i've seen him often on the "online members" list, but it's been at least 6 months since any news on this ? ... We miss you man.

I have one question about WAC - Overspawn.esp. In the description it says that it will conflict with anything else that modify Leveled Lists such as FCOM, MMM, FRAN, OOO, TIE, etc... But if I use WryeBash's automatic Leveled Lists merge function, will this solve the Leveled List conflict?

I suppose you could be right, since we don't know anything for sure, but I don't think there is any harm in just just discussing it, or even implementing it if that's your choice.

I personally prefer WAC pure and untouched by any other overhauls, and I think that's how Waalx would prefer his mod to played, but I doubt he'd take it very personally if others didn't.

Think about the scope of his mod, and the amount of work that must have gone into creating it thus far, if I had to guess, I'd say he probably just needed a break, and along the way maybe real life has caught up with him, it's not like we've been paying him for WAC.

I also think it's worth pointing out that just because he hasn't posted any thing lately doesn't necessarily mean he's stopped working on the project, or that he's not at least still reading the forum.

Also, thanks to everyone for the info on OOO, as intriguing as all the immersive aspects, and quest additions of OOO are, as I stated above I think I'll still keep my WAC pure.

That's for sure, he may have a need for a break, he worked so hard for the 0.05 !

I also like to keep my waalx pure. Anyway, the compatibility possibility with OOO is a very good idea since IMHO, OOO is the best part by far in FCOM. It shares the same kind of philosophy as WAC. That's what important for me in oblivion, and it's why i still play after 3 years ... This game and the mods i have are what makes it almost perfect to me. It's not like diablo or WOW where you need to do a "character recipe" to be good or to just have fun without getting owned. You do be whatever you like and do whatever you feel like.

Sorry for the discouraging post, i just think it needed to be remembered. :)

Thanks Conker343qc for the important reminder. Sometimes i'll get overzealous with how great WAC is and add in the WACforOOO patch and i get extra eager to let others share in the joy. I know though that the time is not yet for such things if WAC is to be everything the master artist Waalx wishes it to become.

But since the stuff is here just 'collecting dust', I'm sure Waalx wouldn't mind us to use it. There's little sense of waiting because sooner or later TES5 will be here and who knows what kind of job Waalx has (or what are his reasons for not responding here). His idea is great, but it would take much time to finish.

And he said that plugins can be made for WAC. What he was against (normally) was that someone takes for example lions and releases them as 'Joe's wild lions mod'.

Guys

We owe it to Alex aka Waalx to wait for his return and not do foolish things with HIS work while he is probably working on it...

So refrain from cutting into pieces the work of Waalx...as this was never intended by him...

mods requiring Waalx work are welcome...

Cheers

Indeed,
Waalx is far too determined and has gotten too far to let this fall.
Remain patient and the reward will be worth it in multitude.:)

Verily MasterAub is correct.

The different variety of goblin species is amazing and actually adds a sense of realistic biology to the world where slightly different species might breed together creating a new one.

Been getting alot of crashes after dying and reloading for the past few days after reaching level seven. Decided now is the best time for a clean reinstall to try a pure WAC set up without OOO and the UNOFFICIAL PATCHES. See if i still get the same problems

Such are the mysterious ways of modding artistry and all things of the heart.

Anyone know how to make Sulinis in the Skingrad Mages Guild put some damn clothes on? I know he has it on him (pickpocketed him to see) but short of slapping the bastard in the face with a knife he doesn't put his robe on.
